I'll start by saying, the food is VERY good and that is why I give them 2 stars. Another reason is that the food is plentiful and can definitely have leftovers!! BUT...their service is LACKING, especially when it comes to communication!! I ordered food for delivery, at 6:30pm. They did say it would be an hour before delivery would make it to me. I accepted that. At 7:45pm, an hour and 15 min after ordering, I called to see how much longer. The phone rang and rang and then went to voicemail, which the vm box was full!! I continued calling for a full 15 min before I actually spoke with someone!! I was told that their delivery driver did not come in that night due to car issues. I guess they couldn't tell me that when I called to place the order??? At this point, it is now 8:05 and I am told that it would be another 30-45 minutes before they could get someone to deliver, but I could come get it myself!! Now mind you, my cc had already been charged....INCLUDING the tip I added for the DELIVERY!! To forego the hassle of trying to get a refund and then having to find something else to eat for dinner, I went ahead and picked it up myself. She did tell me, on the phone that she would add an order of eggrolls (which I had already ordered) and some fried rice (again, which I had already ordered) to my order for my troubles. When I got there to pick up my food, it wasn't even ready!! Within 5 minutes it was though and then I asked about the eggrolls and rice she had offered. I was told that it would take ANOTHER 10 min before they would be ready!! We have been customers of Fangs for SEVERAL years and although there have been small issues before, we continued to patronize them. But after this fiasco, we will no longer be customers!! All it would have taken would have been a phone call to me to let me know that delivery service would take a LONG time and ask if I wanted to just pick it up. Read moreWorst service I have ever experienced. I came into town from San Antonio to celebrate my son's birthday last Sunday. My son wanted sushi and my mother spoke with the manager and asked him to help my son order the sushi. We sat down and a woman waitress came to take our drink order. My husband ordered a Budweiser and my mother asked is they served saki so he could try it. She rudely said no he said he wants Budweiser and left. She came back to take our order and we reminded her my 13 year old son needed help ordering the sushi. She was rude and quickly hurried us to try her recommendation. My mother ordered a steak on special. The lady again was rude when we asked about them teaching my son to eat sushi. Finally the man came to help him and showed him. He was nice. I believe the manager. The steak we ordered had a lot of fat and my mother could only stomach 2 bites. When she asked them if they could offer her something with less fat she again rudely said no. We buy prime meat steak and it's very expensive. Ok fine we will pay and let it go. When she proceeded to come back and tell us to go to the store and see how much they sell prime steak for. We paid a lot of money for a memory for my sons birthday and all we got was aggressive attitude. No drink refills or nothing. This woman was awful and we not my friends or family will never be back. We’ve been loyal customers of Fangs for several years, and while we’ve had minor issues in the past—like late orders—we continued to support them. However, after tonight’s experience, that ends. I received a text from the delivery driver saying the restaurant never got my order, even though I had a confirmation email, an order number, and my account had already been charged. Naturally, I called the restaurant expecting they’d help resolve the issue. Instead, they didn’t answer at first, then hung up on me multiple times. When I finally got through, the woman I spoke with was incredibly dismissive. Her response was essentially: “We didn’t get your order. It’s not our problem.” Then she hung up on me again. When I called back, she told me I’d need to come in and order/pay in person—despite the fact that I had already paid. I asked about getting a refund and was told to contact the Asian Takeout app (which is linked directly through their own website), even though the app says to contact the restaurant for order issues.
