Local biz so they get five stars, local chain I should say, but you may completely disagree with me on the food. Service, well while I was there someone produced a phone coupon that they purchased from a scammer who the business broke ties with months ago. This coupon seller is still ripping people off, so the manager/owner (?) took care of them anyway, didn't charge them for their family's breakfast. So on service, they're there to make their customers happy whether it's the food or the people running the restaurant. It's a bagel spot, no michelin star, bowtie maitre-d joint but they hold up their end and more.
That being said, I am a fan of bagels. Chewy, crispy bagels in the real new york tradition. I realize that many people think Wawa makes bagels, too. That you can get a bagel at 7-11 and maybe this is why All Star's bagels are more a breadgel. They're good, don't get me wrong. Not like wawa garbage they still have some of the characteristics of a good bagel. Public opinion at this point I think has passed me by. I don't think many of you would agree with me on the bagel point and that's fine. I just don't like bready bagels.
They're just not quite there. The pork roll was taylor brand (NOT TAYLOR HAM, JUST NOT, MOVE ON FROM MY REVIEWS IF YOU PLAN TO ARGUE THAT NON-POINT), eggs nicely done (although they neglected to do my pork roll well-done, kills the sandwich IMO) and the ingredients quality. I'd give it a solid 3 stars as I indicated... but if you're looking for a real fat chewy NY style bagel, you'll be a little disappointed. BUT again my 3 stars is only 3 because of the underdone (keep in mind pork roll is already COOKED) pork roll and the breadgel, so you may not even CARE! :)
That also being said, if you're cool with softer bagels, you can't miss...
Read moreWe leave them with one star because we have to as they don't deserve it especially for the way they treated my wife yesterday. We were purchasing bagels and coffee from there when a worker bumped into me causing my hot coffee to spill on her back causing her to get burned. When my wife brought it to their attention they brushed it off as if she was trying to get something out of them. The owners comments were I have to look at the video and then wr don't play that. Then literally telling her to get out of the store in the condition she was in without any concerns to her incision scared back from previous back surgery. You go into that store at your own safety as they don’t have any for you. We will never go back there. A place like that does not deserve our business or for that matter yours. You have been warned. Stay safe and watch out for your back. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻☹️
This guy literally does not care for his customers or instead of kicking my wife out of the store and crying historically he would have gone out of his way to make sure she was okay and some type of medical help which he did none of. Just be careful of this place of business. Thank God that God is watching out for my wife....
Read moreFirst time here at this bagel place. Prices were good, same thing at another place closer to me cost $2.50 more so I was happy prices were normal. I got a bagel w pork roll, egg & cheese on an egg everything bagel. My friend (bc they had run out of the French toast bagel - I will be going back for that one to try for sure!) chose the egg everything as well and made it in to a sandwich. Ate in the car and I said, "Wow, this everything bagel is excellent." (Thinking it was just me, bc after all, it's just a bagel). But my friend goes, "I was thinking the same exact thing." I said yeah, but I'm talking about the bagel part itself. And they said, yes, I know! To be able to NOTICE with everything on it already, that the bagel was perfect, says a lot. A tiny hint of sweetness in the dough was awesome. (I don't ever eat DD bagels, they suck to me, so not comparing to that place either). Anyway, the crumb cake was great too. Ended up taking another everything bagel w salmon cream cheese on it home as well and I was glad I had, lol. Wish they were around the corner from my...
