“Right off parkway and 37,easy access, not busy- great for joggers” >>>>THE ONLY REVIEW YOU NEED<<<< JOGGERS - 5⭐️ FAMILIES - 3⭐️ DOG WALKERS - 2⭐️ LOCATION - right near parkway and right off 37 so it is easy to find and has easy access. Lots of parking in multiple lots. The park and walking path are much further back from the sports fields so you are not close to noisy games or lots of people. FEATURES - small playground✅ Benches for lunch✅ Paved Path for walking✅ INFO - Be extremely careful with pets to not let them into the woods or even close to the edge, outside of the path all the woods are EXTREMELY LOADED with THORNS. Because there is basically one path and you can’t get close to the woods, you will cross paths with other dog walkers. The path seems to go pretty far so if you want to go all the way around be prepared to go far. Mileage posts to show you how far you’ve gone. Other than some small trails that go to and from the fields there seems to be only 1 major path. The main path is paved. Because the main path is paved ticks are easier to avoid. Seems well kept Trash cans and benches throughout the entire path and area. DOWNSIDES - 1. All woods loaded with thorns 2. With only 1 path expect to cross paths with other dog walkers.

Some really good off road trails and plenty of black top trails. Have to warn you about the wild life. As I was sitting on the bench in the photo 2 women were passing and said be careful of the snake that's behind you! Being the city boy that I am I jumped up and said snake what snake. They pretty much saw the terror in my face when I saw a big black water snake that was a couple of feet next to me. The snake got scared cause I probably was a little loud thank God and took off. No worries just be careful where you sit. 😆 lol

When my wife and I lived in the area this was a great getaway into nature. Fantastic long trails to meander on and off. Plus for a while a lil hill dedicated to Faerie homes and trinkets was kept up by people unknown to us. It seems to have fallen into disrepair a bit but others have popped up. We really love finding painted rocks and shells with uplifting messages and wonderful creativity. Overall a must hike for nature lovers and those seeking a good day out.

I always really liked this park, but it has been somewhat neglected by the township lately. It's not that they haven't spent some money on it, just that I feel their efforts have been misguided. They redid the picnic area because they can charge people a rental fee on it. They have redone the bathrooms recently, but they're usually locked unless there's a picnic or ball field rental. County Parks have facilities open all day, they should too. The Compassionate Friends garden is still nice but only because they care for it themselves. But the township has neglected the parts of the park that nature lovers like... removing tables and benches from waterfront areas, not properly caring for trails, etc. The parts that don't bring in money aren't getting any love at all. Ten years ago I called this park the jewel of the Toms River parks system, today I visit and am just saddened by the way that...

Beautiful park. Well maintained and serine. We went to a birthday party in a pavilion there and it was lovely. There's plenty of parking, the pavilion was clean and built to be sturdy and beautiful. It was a Sunday afternoon but we only saw a few people walking around. Dogs need to be kept on a leash, so there's no worry about a dog joining the party. I will consider renting the pavilion myself for a future party. It was a beautiful setting for a party of any kind and very large with clean metal picnic tables and trash cans around. Even if it had been raining you'd be well protected from the elements. And we were quite surprised and pleased that there didn't seem to be any bugs around Very nice idea for a...
