Sub Doctors — Restaurant in Toms River

I had ordered Sub Doctors quite a while ago and honestly completely forgot about them. But, about 2 weeks ago I decided to order and I'm glad I did! The subs were wonderful both hot and cold! Very nice portions for the price I paid. I got lunch specials once and they were great for the price! My Dad used to own a deli when I was little. He said they reminded him of the subs he used to make his customers as the portion and amount you get is wonderful! The staff are kind and really took their time on the phone. Really friendly and I didn't feel rushed. The food only took 40-45 minutes maybe an hour depending on how busy they are. Considering the preparation, cooking of hot items and delivery time to my address. The only thing I wish would change is offering a larger size for the sides but that is very minor. I'll gladly order from them time and time again when we want subs especially because my Dad and entire family were happy! Thank you! Loyal customer for many years. Tonight has the worst experience. I always call ahead and place my order. Asked for a half of bologna and cheese.. the person taking my order proceeded to read of different types of bread..after i specifically asked for a half of sub. Asked for chicken nuggets and fries.. asked how many and said 6. Received just the nuggets no fries. My sandwich was on white bread. Who goes to a sub shop and orders a sandwich on white bread, a half of white bread sandwich?! The employee proceeded to argue with me about what i said over the phone in the drive through.

I did receive the fries but it was clear there was no intention of fixing my sandwich so I drove away.

Very disappointed and have given many referrals here. Disappointed and will find another place to get my subs...

I want to scream! I came into town from Oklahoma. Born and raised in NJ so I know great food. My cousin told me about this place and that I had to try it. We stopped by so that we could grab some subs for our dinner party and decided to get some breakfast sandwiches. We got bacon egg and cheese sandwiches. We got in the car and the smell from that bag was calling my name! I could not wait until I get home to eat it! I ate (2) bacon egg and cheese sandwiches myself before I made it home! When I say the bread was outstanding and the amount of bacon was unbelievable! The 2 gentlemen was hospitable and kind! What a place! What a great service and exceptional food! Thank you...
