My recent visit to Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers was an average experience, earning it a three-star rating from me. While there were some positive aspects, there were also a few areas that could use improvement.
On the positive side, the restaurant's concept of combining frozen custard and steakburgers is intriguing and unique. I appreciate their efforts to offer a different fast food experience from the usual options. The frozen custard was indeed creamy and delicious, and the variety of toppings and mix-ins allowed for some customization.
However, I found the steakburgers to be somewhat underwhelming. They were cooked to an adequate level, but the taste was rather bland and lacked the juicy, flavorful punch I was expecting. Perhaps more seasoning or bolder flavor profiles could enhance the burger offerings.
The service during my visit was decent, but it wasn't outstanding. While the staff was friendly, the ordering process seemed a bit disorganized, leading to some delays. I also noticed that the restaurant wasn't particularly busy at the time, so the wait was a bit surprising.
The seating area and overall ambiance were ordinary and didn't leave a lasting impression. It had the typical fast food restaurant feel, which is fine for a quick bite but not particularly inviting for an extended stay.
One aspect that stood out as a drawback was the pricing. While the food was acceptable, I felt that the prices were slightly higher than what I would expect for a fast food restaurant. This could deter some potential customers, especially those looking for budget-friendly options.
In summary, Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers offers an interesting concept with their frozen custard and steakburgers combination. The custard was delicious, but the burgers were somewhat lacking in flavor. The service and ambiance were average, but the pricing was a bit on the higher side. Overall, it's an okay option for a quick meal, but I wouldn't consider it a must-visit fast...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI been going there since the open the restaurant. And me and the family loves Freddy we had a great experience a different location when near by it .. but last night me and my wife felt let's grab burgers from our spot we arrive there at 9:35 pm 25 min before they close and no one was at the drive thru but us so they had enough time not to be rushed , then we pick up our order and we get home the drive the burgers had no cheese and looked like it was rushed in the bag , the buns looked like they bought from Walmart and flat like they smashed it with the burgers oil seeping thru it very mediocre for a almost $15 meals each and we picked 3 meals # 1 #3 and 1 kid meal. With tax came out to almost 40 bucks .. I say thisif you expect the full price for the mediocre food you served us guess then I expect my food would be made at full care and love to receive a full great experience.. I have a video of how the burgers looked when we opened the bag and also we couldn't go back and complain it was already @10 pm when we got back they wore closed they didn't answer the phone and we tried to reach out to day as well and they look like they don't answer phone lines like what is the point of having a line there just leave a messages , which we did last night snd we left the phone number but no one gave us the courtesy and called us back .. so here I am writing this big book on my last night experience which it could have been avoided by some one respected the money we spent there last night . And no I was not going to drive 12 min going there and 12 min back that's 24 min just to complain and look like I want free food NO Ty . A if any thing really I would like my money back cs we didn't eat that made with no care food and we lost money on it .. real sad cs it's food not crypto lol .. how ever, I could remove this review if some manager valued me and gave me a call . Thanks for reading have a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRecently it was Father's Day and we were at my in-laws who live in the neighborhood of this new Freddy's on 37 & Hooper in Toms River... Apparently the drive-thru lines have been out the parking lot since they opened this month, so we went to test it out for lunch.. Overall the experience was good. There is this good ole fashioned middle-America vibe and decor adorning the restaurant. It was new and clean inside and there was plenty of staff working and providing customer service, but lets get down to the important stuff. I got the classic Freddy's double burger with cheese. This was a good fast food burger. It is 2 patties of thin greasy burger meat. It comes topped with onions and pickles along with a special sauce. I thought it was a good combo and it was tasty. However, it still does not replace the McDonald's double cheese burger as the ultimate champion of fast food burgers. It is somewhat similar style to the shake shack burger, although smaller. The Freddy's fries were really thin shoe string style which I enjoyed. They had a sort of chipolte fry dipping sauce too. I also tried the onion rings and they were sufficiently crispy. The price was not bad, around $12 and change for a combo meal (cheaper than shake shack or others in that realm and more in line with classic fast food restaurants.) I will have to go back and try the Frozen Custard (which i think is just their name for soft serve ice cream). Ultimately, while the burger was good and I would get it again it falls below the McDonalds and Shake Shack burgers and that is why it got 4...
