KFC — Restaurant in Toms River

Even small things can be difficult.

Ordered a mashed potato bowl from the drive thru. Usually, one gets a "reasonable" number of breaded chicken chunks, mashed potatoes (almost real tasting), corn kernels and gravy...all in appropriate quantities...not a bad meal for a few bucks and kind of tasty.

Today's bowl was a bit different. Guess the staff who "assembled" this bowl had never eaten one. I popped it's lid expecting to see each of the featured ingredients and was immediately surprised by a few things. First, the bowl was nearly half empty. Second, the only things visible were the tops of four chicken chunks appearing to float in brown gravy like little rafts...everything else (what little there was of it), was submerged. Bon Appetit!!

Undoubtedly this single sampling should not be used to gauge the quality of KFC...or even this restaurant; however, I didn't pay for a "Kids Bowl" with extra gravy...a bit more work needed on the training end of this enterprise. Good luck...

I dined there after what would have been the lunch rush. The dining area was relatively clean although my seat wasn't devoid of some crumbs from a previous guest. The garbage can nearest the soda machine was over flowing, the one near the door was not. This struck me as odd as that is the one in closest proximity to the counter and should be easily noticeable. The soda machine was inoperable so sodas were filled at the counter, refills were easy to get and they were very prompt with the service. I haven't been in a KFC in some time and the first thing I noticed was the price. I guess with rising labor costs they need to pass on the expense somewhere. I ordered a three piece meal and it was a little over $9. A breast, wing, and thigh with a scoop of mashed potatoes seems like it should be no more than $7 but that's just me I guess. I can get a fully roasted chicken for about $6 at my grocery store or Costco. Overall, it was a decent experience and while a bit pricey I...

Super excited about the fact that KFC 🍗 has been bringing back old menu items. Over 20 years ago they featured the best chicken 🐔 nuggets that ever existed. Then they removed them from the menu and focused on popcorn 🍿 chicken 🐔 and chicken 🐔 strips. To me they were ok (popcorn chicken 🐔) and good (chicken strips). However the greatness that was the chicken 🐔 nuggets were no more. They looked like a McDonald's nugget but had the 11 herbs 🌿 and spices 🌿 . So they were much better. For the last 20 years the kfc 🍗 nuggets were the unfair standard that I judged all chicken 🐔 nuggets. I then found chic - fil -a 10 years ago and found a strong 💪🏾 replacement. That time ⏲️ for now has passed. The KFC 🍗 nuggets are back and even better. The 11 herbs 🌿 and spices 🌿 cover a Chick-fil-A style nugget. They are the best chicken 🐔 nuggets possible.
