Dear Wendy’s Corporate Team,
I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the behavior of the manager, Madeline, at your [446 Route 37 W. Toms River NJ 08753] store on [2/21/25 @ 5:43PM]. My experience at this location was completely unacceptable due to her unprofessional attitude and lack of customer service.
During my visit, Madeline was not only dismissive but also spoke back to customers in an extremely rude and condescending manner. While I understand that the store was experiencing an emergency situation due to an employee quitting mid-shift, her reaction was completely unprofessional. Instead of handling the situation with composure, she was audibly complaining to corporate on the phone while customers were waiting in a long line that nearly reached the door. Rather than addressing the growing line and assisting her team, she prioritized her phone call, leaving customers waiting with no sense of urgency or concern.
This is not the first time I have witnessed Madeline displaying derogatory and rude behavior toward customers. Her attitude is consistently unprofessional, and it creates an uncomfortable and hostile environment for both customers and employees. A managerial role comes with the responsibility of maintaining professionalism under pressure, and unfortunately, Madeline has repeatedly failed to do so. Under the circumstances, stress is supposed to be handled appropriately, and it was not.
Due to her continued lack of professionalism and the negative atmosphere she creates, I refuse to visit this Wendy’s location as long as she remains employed there. I went inside and explained they just gave me a bag of fries and said that's impossible. Then, she proceeded to hand me another bag with burgers in it. Read moreI will say this, yes, the drive thru was packed but I ended up missing food from my order. I went inside. Literally stood there for a good 10 minutes right by the register until someone noticed me. Told her the mistake and then a guy comes storming in yelling at them that they screwed up his order. Some reason the guy got the special treatment and had his order taken care of before my order and waited additional 20 minutes. Anyway, the total time I was at Wendy's for a Jr Bacon cheeseburger with no tomato and extra cheese and two Jr cheeseburgers with no tomato, a total of 45 minutes. It's beyond stupid with how slow and very forgetful the staff was, especially the girl at the register I had to explain 4 times about my order. Please hire kids that actually want to work.
