Mo' Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food — Restaurant in Tooele

For the second time I've ordered food through Tooele Mo Bettah's drive through, and for the 2nd time stuff has been missing, with little attention to detail.

My food was all but tossed at me, as the staff was too busy chatting to pay attenton to making sure that my food contained everything it should have.

I ordered a Pake Salad. the ingredients were lumped in, and then the greens were just unceremoniously thrown in on top. The wonton strips are stale, like they've been left out for days. The single cherry tomato a sad reminder of what should be, and a whopping ONE mandarin orange slice almost as if to insult me with the idea that they remembered the mandarin, but apparently I did something to piss them off by daring to order a single salad in the drive through.

I loved MoBettah's for a long time, but the last two experiences have soured me to the point that I don't think i'll be going there anymore. The staff obviously doesn't care, and their corporate business doesn't care about poor customer experiences, because i reached out after the first time through their business email, and was promptly ignored.

Now i'll make my grievance public. Don't get delivery, and don't get drive through. If you're ordering from Tooele MoBettah, go in and sit down and make sure they give you what you've actually paid for, or you'll end up sorry.

I work in SLC, when my team of logisticians require fuel for industry, nothing gets us through our graveyards like good food and plenty of it.

Even with courtesy planning and advanced notice…Frequently, I am told, that the establishments I contact cannot accommodate my order.

It got to the point where the consistent denial influenced a dogged drive to get a win. Long ago I had the opportunity to work alongside Kimo and Kelani when they launched the flagship in Bountiful. Three things stood out, the food, learning how to wash dishes, and the attention to the working man’s needs.

So I made an order to a couple locations and they could not accommodate! Since I live in Tooele county I finally decided to contact the Mo’Bettahs there.

Cameron and company responded and they were polite, prompt, and professional. Even if I have to drive from SLC, I will continue to order from this location because they earned my trust. They are reliable and communicate. When I need good food and lots of it, they always deliver.

I tried the teriyaki chicken, kalua pork, brown rice, macaroni and tossed salad. It was good, but just fell short in so many ways.

The pros: the chicken was tender, nicely charred and had good flavor. The pork was soft, moist and pretty tasty (my wife thought perhaps too salty). The teriyaki sauce a was sweet and sharp, use it sparingly or it will over power the rest of the flavors. Fast service; and the kid at the window was respectful- kept calling me sir. 😂

Cons: Bland basic rice. The salad was more white and yellow than green- hardly a tossed salad in my opinion. Our drink were stacked with ice. I mean are we skimping because we’re worried about running out of syrup? The sauce on the macaroni was bland and had no flavor. It felt like I was chewing carbs with no real satisfaction.
