Sonic off Rochester in North Topeka. Unfortunately, after waiting in the extreme line yet no rudeness or complaints from this end, the girl at the window didn't appear to care how she represented Sonic. She showed EXTREMELY poor customer service (no smile, greeting, kindness, eye contact, or follow through, and rude behavior)! I asked for a receipt and extra napkins yet she forgot when handing my change, so I asked a 2nd time and she said okay. Then I received the remainder of my order, but she forgot both again, so I asked again (#3), and I got the receipt. I then had to ask for part of my order which was forgotten, and the napkins again, and when she came back with the order...still no napkins. I tried to ask again, but she was quick to be done with me and the window closed. I waited thinking she might have been grabbing them real quick, but no, she pulled her cell phone out as I stared while she continued to text on it(didn't look up for even a second). I was floored and it just wasn't worth even mentioning again. She clearly was more concerned about whatever was on the other end of the phone than to perform her job, or even pretend to care that we are helping pay her wages by supporting sonic. This generation needs to get a clue into common courtesy and job performance! I hope she simply had a really bad night, and maybe she gives decent service when she's in a better...
Read moreWe stopped to place an order for take out. We get there and learn they have system problems and can only take online Sonic app orders. No big deal, I pulled up the app and ordered. Within a reasonable amount of time, a carhop appeared, rattled off the order, handed us 2 large shakes and a small bag of food. That would have been great, except we had ordered 3 burgers, chicken strips and 4 medium sides and it was all supposed to be in that little bag. The carhop was gone before we could ask, "where's the rest?" We pushed the button and let the voice know we were missing about 1/2 our order. They quickly found bag #2, brought it out, and we were on our way. Once home the next disappointment appeared. While the burgers were right and looked decent, the chicken strips were small and barely edible. The onion rings looked like they were the crumbs from the bottom of the bag. There were a few whole tots, but most were tot tidbits. The mozzarella sticks that are usually good were under cooked, so the batter was like raw grease soaked dough and the cheese was tough. The food was far from acceptable for what we spent and certainly not the quality we used to get from Sonic. It will be a long time before we order from this Sonic again and always check your order before...

My wife and I order 2 fountain drinks and a shake for $13 and waited nearly 20 minutes for drinks. However, when our order arrives the lady gave us only 2 drinks that were not what we ordered.
We informed the lady that a mistake has been made and the items provided were wrong. Without a care in the world the server then proceeds to shrug her shoulders and say “my receipt says you order was only $3, you will just have to order again if you want a shake”. We explain how we paid $13 for all of the items we ordered and that it already shows on our bank accounts through our mobile banking app.
The server then stated “well I don’t know, you can just order again I guess” as she turns around and walks away.
I am truly amazed with the customer service training at this location. When a customer expresses a concern in regards to their order being messed up, are the employees trained to ignore the customers concern?
We ordered and paid $13 for drinks and a shake and was only able to leave with 2 incorrect fountain drink and $0 worth of customer service...
