Spangles — Restaurant in Topeka

Stopped here after attempting to go to another sit down restaurant in the area, their lack of service was our gain because eating here was clearly the better choice. We were traveling through and were intrigued by your sign but really wanted to sit down as we had been on the road for several hours, after the attempt to sit didnt pan out and we had now wasted time and needed to get back on the road we went through your drive thru, it was our first time eating at your establishment so it took us a few minutes to decide what we wanted. Staff was courteous and told us to take our time, we ended up deciding on the sourdough bacon swiss with onion rings and the sourdough turkey bacon ranch with fries. Both sandwiches were excellent the smokiness of the turkey had amazing flavor. Bread was nice and toasted and the burger had excellent flavor. The onion rings were very good and huge one order was more than enough to share. The fries were also excellent flavorful and crispy and you didnt have to rush through eating them to still be good like most fast food restaurants. We travel through here frequrntly for work we have looked up your menu online and we are excited to try many other things on your menu, including one of your many...

Didn't get our order right, as I asked for a #3 JUST THE BURGER, no onion or tomato and a #4 LARGE MEAL but got 2 meals size small, one cup and extra tomatoes... It wasn't during any rush, as it was 230 when we went to have lunch, and we would have talked to the manager but my husband had gotten called back in to work so his break was cut WAY short and he rode to spangles with me, so I HAD to leave as well, otherwise I could have stayed behind and discussed it. Tables didn't look too bad for being just after lunch rush, but floor was a bit sticky and so was the highchair our 6 month old was in, but THAT one I DO understand as kiddos are very messy and those chairs are difficult to get clean. But staff was very friendly, and we chalked it up to maybe they were just having one of those off days businesses sometime have as well as people. And besides, they are usually on top of their game there when we drop...

Spangles is one of the best fast food restaurants I've been to. The burgers are so juicy, and savory, and packed with protein and just the right amount of calories, and as if it couldn't get any better, the burgers are also fresh. I love the mudslides that they make, especially the strawberry ones. The reason I think the ice cream here is so amazing is because it's amazing, sweet, cold, refreshing, and so flavorful, which just makes it so wonderful. As for the fries, they're nice and thin and crispy and warm and have just the right amount of salt, which makes them very savory and delicious. The atmosphere is so nice and almost liminal. It's pretty peaceful and there's always the nice sound of people talking, dishes moving, footsteps, and food being made. Overall, very nostalgic and it feels like a blast...
