The Japanese or Asian old skinny and short lady was very rude with her service. She is so unprofessional and not welcoming at all. She didnāt have the proper skill of how to treat her customers. So thing is I donāt believe in tipping culture and I donāt see that as a required thing, so most of the times I choose not to tip, especially if itās a cafe or fast food restaurant. Honestly this food felt like a fast food, so I didnāt feel the need to tip. Like a quick eating for me, not like a complete lunch or dinner. When that happened. This old lady had audacity to come up to me and call me out for not tipping and being rude about it. She even said ādonāt come againā in a rude manner. Which was very disrespectful as this was my second time coming here to eat. First time when I came the young lady that helped us she was very nice and her service was really good. Thatās the reason we came back, and we were gonna make it our regular spot on every Monday. But they lost this opportunity. Also the way that the old lady comes up to us and calls us out, shows how cheap she is and how could someone beg like this in a restaurant by tipping, thatās so cheap and pathetic. Also there is no law that says about tipping is mandatory as well, so I donāt see a reason why people should be enforced to tip. I openly say it I donāt tip, I did ubereats myself 1 year ago and I never begged or expected for a tip from the customers because I know thatās pathetic. Also a another thing when I explained this to the manager, instead of acknowledging it, she started arguing with me. At the last she apologized but it didnāt seem like she cared, looked like just formality. And when I was talking to the manager, the old lady walked behind us and gave us a dirty face and yelled āuhhhhhhā right in front of manager. That is just unprofessional, everywhere else I go itās not like this. By the way this is USA, you canāt be rude to your customers and be unprofessional to them, it doesnāt work...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat casual place for okonomiyaki. Itās a grilled Japanese specialty similar to pizza but with a shredded cabbage base and a more teriyaki-like sauce. Iāve had okonomiyaki freshly made in Osaka and I can at least say this place is comparable to that. Itās hard to get good okonomiyaki in the US so in that regard this place is great.
Thereās lots of unique choices. According to the adverts, this is Hiroshima-styled but my friend from Hiroshima wasnāt familiar with it. Still very fun and creative whatever the style.
The place is somewhat simple so donāt expect a full Japanese restaurant menu. Nevertheless they do order-to-go meals that make it easy to take the experience home. I havenāt tried the other stores but the service here was good and people seemed happy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSecond time here and have been very happy with the service and food.
The okonomiyaki will be delivered to you already made on a hot metal plate so it will keep it nice and warm.
The seafood one is pretty stuffed with goodies as well as the beef one (their specialty). Others, I couldn't really taste the ingredients, alas they were all delicious.
Appetizers as well as other dishes were really good as well. Specially the tsukemen, the sauce was flavourful and spicy. In contrast to other tsukemen I had, the sauce was cold and noodles were hot (freshly boiled). All ingredients (meat, veggies, etc.) were in noodle bowl.
I would recommend this place to try out if you are craving some okonomiyaki and want to try out some...
