This was my favorite local pizza place. I love their pizza and my kids love them too. We often visit here at least 2-3 times a month making it almost a weekly stop for pizza dinner. However, couple weeks ago, when I took my two kids for pizza dinner on a weekday, I experienced the worst customer service at this place. We placed an order at 5:30pm at the counter. It was moderately busy and there were few more people lining up behind me as I placed my order. I ordered one medium pizza and a couple of drinks. Waited about 30 minutes and saw two people who lined up behind me already getting their pizzas and eating. I asked one of the servers to check on my order for me as it has been more than 30 minutes (usually, it comes out fairly fast, like 15-20 minutes). The server came back and told me it's just getting inside the oven and will take 10 more minutes. Ummm, that's like 45 minutes to cook one medium pizza! I waited 15 more minutes, but there was no sign of our pizza. As two super hungry children were getting bored at waiting for almost an hour, I went to the counter and checked with the kitchen to see where they were at with my pizza. When I told them "hey it's been like 50 minutes.. it's okay if you forgot to put my order in the oven but please give me an accurate time when we can eat." Cashier at the counter said "oh it's coming out now" and the lady at the kitchen was being defensive and told me "we never forget any order, we were working on it in the order it was received" So I told them "I come here almost weekly and I never had to wait this long even when it was during the night of Dodgers World Series. In fact, a couple of people who ordered after me were already eating well before me." The lady told me "Well, they might have preordered!" But I knew they ordered after me because I walked by when the person behind me was placing his order at the counter after I got my drinks from the fountain. When we finally got our pizza, it was well over 50 minutes of waiting! Not sure where that attitude came from but when a customer waited 50 minutes to get their food, any restaurant should first apologize for the slow service. I don't care if it's 3 star Michelin chef making a gourmet dish or a medium size pizza. Making customer wait 50 minutes isn't something they should be proud of. As I leave, I asked them if they have a discount coupon or free drink coupon or something to complement my very negative experience I had today. And that kitchen lady stared at me and told me to go online and find it myself. Not even a single apology and what a rude way to say goodbye to unsatisfied loyal customers. I am so sad my favorite local pizza place to treat their loyal customer this way. I am sure I will be sharing my negative experience with all the social medias, seach engines, and...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment with a recent experience at your Lampost Pizza location during an AYSO soccer event. Although I was not part of the event and was dining with my family, we encountered a serious issue with our order and how it was handled.
I placed an order for two large pizzas and one large salad, totaling $80, and was given a table number to display. While supervising my children as they played video games and tended to the baby, I lost track of when our food was delivered. Upon checking with the cashier about the status of our order, I was informed it had already been served.
After investigating, I discovered that our food had been mistakenly placed on another party’s table, and they had consumed it. I explained the situation to the cashier, clarifying that we were not part of that group. Unfortunately, the response was dismissive, with the cashier stating it was “not his problem.” When I suggested retrieving equivalent items from the other party or replacing our salad, the cashier refused to take any action.
This experience was not only frustrating but also exacerbated by the cashier’s unprofessional and dismissive tone. It left us feeling overlooked and disregarded...
Read moreMy husband and I have not been here since the late 80's, South High School years. A lot of good memories here hanging out with friends. One of his friends use to work here in high school. We decided to come here for dinner on Saturday 8/23/24 around 5pm. We were greeted right away by the young male cashier, ordered a pizza, antispasta salad and a pitcher of beer. The food was very good, fresh and we loved the salad all produce and meat was chopped evenly the large was perfect for 2 and the pizza was perfect and not greasy. Employees were all friendly, food was good BUT what happened to the music???? We were going to fall asleep it seemed like it was on 103.5/ the coast, the vibe here was so quiet not what we remember...... Can they play some upbeat 80's music??? That being said, we did some high school lamppost reminiscing while eating and drinking BUT the vibe was so blah there we did not get another pitcher. We just like more of an upbeat pizza place maybe if we went latter it might be more lively???? Thank You for the good food and service probably won't dine in again...
