El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Torrance

This place used to be good... but I don't think anyone is in charge. Every time I go to the drive through they can't take the order and tell me to come inside. For months the horchata machine leaks and dumps liquid all over your hand. Not worth it either cause when it's running low at night they just refill it with water instead of putting an "unavailable" sticky note on it. The place looks run down. And the food wouldn't even taste good if they ever got an order right. What's worse... not knowing the difference between flour and wheat tortillas? Or running out of flour ones and just using wheat without telling customers? Either way they taste different and they should ask if it's okay to do that. The cheese not being melted and actually being ice cold doesn't help either. At least they didn't properly wrap the tortilla so I could see it and heat it up before I ate it. They also randomly add ingredients that weren't supposed to be in it? Which might seem good but it looked like they were getting old and just needed to get rid of it before they went bad so just said "ehh throw this in there too."

This review might seem rather rude and snarky. But I used to really like this place. When the quality of food and service is worse than Taco Bell which cost a fraction of the price that's a massive red flag. This isn't one bad experience, I've been going here for 10 years. It feels like it's going out of business and NO one cares if customers are unsatisfied. If that's not true... it will be soon. Cause this place is empty...

POOR SERVICE: Went through the drive-thru (I was the ONLY CAR) & placed my order for the family meal for 4. The 2 sides I selected were Beans and Mac n' Cheese, and also requested thighs and wings chicken pieces + Corn tortillas. I had to repeat the sides 3 TIMES because the service rep kept saying "You want rice and beans?" And I'd correct her, saying "Mac N' Cheese and Beans!" I paid at the window and got most of my order and was told to drive up to the front to get my churros...

... I waited several minutes and NO ONE came out to give me my churros. I was hungry & knew my family was too, so I just went home.

OUR ORDER... -Got mostly chicken legs -Got RICE, no Beans -Got 1/2 a container of salad that only fed 2 (the meal says it feeds 4) -Got 1/2 corn and 1/2 flour tortillas No churros

So, if you're in a hurry and hungry and picking up at this Crenshaw Blvd. Location, be aware that you're going to get whatever they feel like giving you, not what you ask for.

I won't be coming back to...

Torrance and Artesia- that's it will never go back there again. I have been there several times in the past. 3 times they were out of chicken, 2 other times they were closed at around 630 and today, the drive up line was long, so I went inside. I thought great this should be quick! NOT SO FAST! While there and waiting for ten minutes with no one taking my order, there were 5 people waiting for there order. 2 different people came in from out side with wrong orders. And the one of the guys waiting for their order was called up to get his order he started yelling about his being wrong order too and asking for his money back. I then left. I DO NOT KNOW HOW THE COMPANY CAN ALLOW SUCH A POOR OPERATION TO CONTINE. I AM SO FED UP AND WILL DEFINITELY...
