Roma Pizza — Restaurant in Torrington

I'll keep it short and simple. We ordered a pizza for delivery in the evening so my wife me and my son can eat. It was a large with garlic sausage mushroom onion pepper and it was 40 bucks. They've doubled the last 10-15 years. And I used to make pizza about 25 years ago about 5 years total. And I know what a bad pie is and what a good pie is. This particular Pizza got us sick we ate half of it we were hungry it's roughly five slices for three people. Well when I went the next day to explain to them that the pizza wasn't cooked right the middle was raw on the outside was burnt and it was all just funky funky undercooked in the middle something that would would all those ingredients obviously get you a little sick if you had sensitive and we have sensitive stomachs. So I go there and I explain to him what happened and he immediately tells me that I'm trying to get over on him because we have half the pizza and we're hungry so we're coming back to get a free pie after I explained everything to him long story short I called him an a-hole and I left and he walked outside after me and pushed me down the balcony stairs onto the ice almost knocking me down I could have really hurt myself he assaulted I don't need to say much further if it wasn't for the other people in the Establishment coming out we would have had a big fight I wasn't there going to pick a fight I was there to try to get a remedy. I understand if you're busy and your quality lacks a little bit but your service company supposed to make up for it customers always right right that's what keeps you in business is the customer. I dont know how this place has good reviews.. which is why I ordered from them. tonight I ordered 2 SMALL tossed salads, 1 slice of cheese pizza and 1 large buffalo chicken pizza with blue cheese on the side which he said was considered "extra". 35$? After I hung up Im thinking how the heck did it come to that much? I called back and asked if they charged me for large salads and he said NO and then told me it should be MORE than 35$ that they actually undercharged me. They didn't charge for the blue cheese.. uhhh why would they? I ordered 2 salads and A BUFFALO* CHICKEN* PIZZA? pathetic place.. Well an hour later it came and what do you know I open the bag and out came 2 LARGE salads!!! And the slice of cheese pizza for my toddler was horrible I tossed it in the garbage! I wouldn't even feed it to my dog thats how bad it looked (ill post a picture) so you can see im not exaggerating. It literally had NO Dough! So I called back again and told them and he said "I had no small tops for the containers so I put it in the large." If that was the case it wouldn't have been filled up with salad. I added up the prices posted on the website and it indeed shows I was charged for 2 large salads. These people are scammers watch out! The buffalo chicken pizza was ok it was nothing special. SAVE YOUR MONEY! 35$ down the drain...

Normally I don't write this stuff, and also normally - if you asked me - I'd say Roma was the place to go... But truthfully, they're rude and just Suck at customer service. I've ordered from here for over 10 years!! Not only have the clams CONSISTENTLY gotten worse over the years, but the service has too. For the last few years (depending on the night and I guess, who was working) I would order the Clams Casino but substitute the clams for shrimp - (like I said, the clams now suck! Green and fishy! Gross!)... But while it's always never been (nor should it be) a problem to substitute the 2 (I'd pay more if that was the problem, and it WAS before in the past a few times) - but seems like they just don't care. Their quality & service have BOTH nose dived! Tonite was the final straw. I'd never post this kind of stuff if it wasn't LEGIT!... Website says 11... They close at 10 & just past 9:35 say: pick up only... Fine. Place the order, and they won't even substitute frozen shrimp for canned clams??? On an over $40 order??? Go...
