When we looked up "best quesadilla in Westchester" and Don Chuy's showed up, we took the 10 mile drive to find out.
This casual eat-in establishment served up plate-licking good Mexican street foods. The Tako bowl with shrimp was prepared with fresh spring mix [romaine, spinach, arugula] quartered tomatoes, roasted corn and bean mix, and that perfectly seasoned warm shrimp - of which they were Not skimpy with the shrimp. The Tako bowl itself was warm, flakly and crispy. My partner had the steak quesadilla with a side of warm Mexican street corn, and sweet, firm maduros. The churros were warm and crispy to the bite with a soft doughy inside. The chocolate syrup and vanilla ice cream complement them perfectly. Overall, it was a 5-finger licking good experience. PS they serve Mexican sodas and drinks 🤗
The staff were pleasant, and whoever was at the stove, kudos to the Cook! The venue was clean, and organized. My partner is disable and we did not encounter any issues entering the restaurant with his rollator. However, getting to the restroom may be challenge with a wheelchair because there is a narrow passby before the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Don Chuys tacos in Harrison, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with vibrant decor that truly captures the spirit of Mexico. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.
The menu offers a fantastic variety of authentic Mexican dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. The guacamole was fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the tacos were bursting with flavor. The carne asada was tender and cooked to perfection, and the mole sauce was rich and complex. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked.
What sets Don Chuy’s apart is their commitment to quality. The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell that everything was made with care. Overall, Don Chuys is a must-visit for anyone who loves Mexican cuisine. It's a gem of a restaurant that delivers on all fronts: great food, excellent service, and a...
Read moreI ordered over $150 worth of food for a company order from this place on 10/29. I was planning to tip the staff with cash in person, as I couldn't use a company card for the gratuity. When my co-worker and I arrived, we weren't even greeted. He asked the attendant if our order was ready, and the attendant simply pointed to the two bags of food sitting on a table, getting cold. We were not thanked for our business, nor did the attendant utter a single word to us. I assume he was upset about not being tipped, but his poor attitude didn't even give me a chance to do so. The food itself was subpar, and I'm being generous with that assessment. Prices are ridiculously high (even for Harrison, NY): bland taste, small portions, and, well, you get the idea. I visited this place based off all the "wonderful" reviews, which, to be honest, I'm now questioning the authenticity of. I can safely say I will never spend another dollar at this...
