As a native Texan, I know good BBQ, and this is not it. We had a terrible takeout experience for our family. I would never return based on quality of food alone. Some of these other reviewers have never eaten BBQ, ate at a different restaurant, or were paid for a fake review. The pound of brisket was shaved very thin similar to deli meat, served in a very thin unflavored "au jus" all sitting in hot plastic. But shockingly, that wasn't the primary issue. The issue is that the fat had not been properly cooked and rendered. It was still disgustingly chewy. On top of that there were no smoke rings or char on the brisket at all. In fact, there was no evidence of quality brisket here whatsoever. Bland, chewy, cheap cuts. Then the disgusting $10 Large portion ("a pound") of beans, which I swear to you, we're poured out of a Bush's Baked Bean Can. Overly sweet, nearly syrupy. No meat inside, no richness of fat or broth, no spice, just tomato and sugar sweetness all the way down. The 2 sauces were cookie cutter. The spicy exactly the same as the mild, with a little touch of pepper and/or cayenne added. Nondescript at best. Patently worse than the best options available at a supermarket. The best part was the prepackaged chips they make and sell to go, but still overpriced relative to the supermarket and very similar in flavor and ingredient inputs. All of the hot dishes were served in plastic containers, which is a terrible health proposition as it's well known that microplastics can leach into food especially when heated over time in takeout and delivery. All of the cold food was served in paper folded within styrofoam. Just leave out the Styrofoam and put all the folded paper in a bag... Honestly, just a hard pass all around from what we were served. Eat raw apples, eat raw broccoli, eat anything other than below average, overpriced meat for your health, your wallet, your sanity. Never again.

Enjoyed very much!! Great sweet, spicy BBQ! Had southern pulled pork sandwich with slaw, daughter had chicken quesadilla with pulled smoked chicken with cheese, steamed onions. The slaw was vinegar based, not too tangy, just right. Went really well with bbq pulled pork. The pulled pork had bbq mixed in it and came with a side of more sauce. Bbq sauce is thick, sweet, maybe some red chili spice, a little peppery. Baked beans very similar, very good! Thick, sweet, peppery. Bun was buttered and fresh! Spicy chips very tasty! Very nice fellas working there! Went out of their way to accommodate us. Highly recommend!!

At a conference and went here on a whim. At first you question it when you pull up, then you realize how good it’s probably going to be because of that same reason. We all tried different things, and none of us were disappointed. For the price we were ecstatic. Clean plate club for all of us as my mom says. Owner was out interacting with guests and giving some samples of the bakery wares and honestly was icing on the cake or in this case a blueberry something that was straight delicious. Got the Gooey Butter Bar for dessert, simple but delicious. Would recommend and honestly might try to go again before heading back home.

I am Absolutely amazed that you have such great reviews. I have issues when you’re serving crockpot pulled pork I could’ve gone to Sam’s and bought the members Mark pulled pork and had a way better experience for the same price. When I watch your wine people going to the back to pull out your beef Brisket from the microwave. Lack of management and lack of barbecue. And when your house barbecue at his blend it with sweet baby rays how disgusting. For the money there are so many better places to go eat barbecue. Sorry for such the bad review

Revise:

I appreciate your response in such a timely matter however when you say best barbecue the side of the Mississippi that is definitely subjective, I never said you didn’t smoke your barbecue I just said that’s what I thought it tasted like, And I apologize that I wasn’t clear my comment was directly related to your pulled pork. I also like the way you avoided any responds to microwaving your brisket.

If you feel my reviews are negative you should re-read them, they are nothing but honest. I always comment on the good and the bad. In this case I don’t have anything good to comment on. Once again I apologize for giving you such a...

Best kept BBQ secret in West County! Phenomenal BBQ and homemade baked goods to choose from. This is a place I almost don't want to tell people about as it is SO GOOD!

Located in the uniquely converted "3 Bay" former service garage, you have an open kitchen and tables inside and some picnic style dining just outside. They make everything on site and fresh daily. Great sides and specials that they change up to keep you coming back for more.

The family business vibe is on full display. You are a guest at their place and they make you feel like you are friends coming by to eat! Very attentive and you can tell that they want you there and they want you to enjoy the food and experience.

Head on into the Phillips 66 station and go straight thru to the back, or pop around to the side entrance into the kitchen/dining room. You won't be disappointed.

We have done dine in and take out here and live this little neighborhood...
