We went here originally for the hibachi experience but deciding to just get a regular table instead. The experience was still great. Food, service, and atmosphere are highly rated in my opinion.
We ordered sendei spicy chicken, hibachi steak and chicken, miso soup, mushroom soup, and a lavender cocktail. The steak were cooked medium rare per our request. The portions were huge. You'll definitely be taking home leftovers or be rolling like a bowling ball to your car. Both dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented. My one issue with the food is that the chicken in the curry were sliced extremely thin. It was so thin that at times, I didn't even know if i was biting into chicken or not. I'm not sure if this is a skimping on meat tactic or it's just how they prepare it. Either way, I wasn't too impressed with it. The meat portions on the hibachi dinner seemed plentiful so I have no idea. The miso and mushroom soups were incredibly tasty. The lavender drink was tasty as well but the color of the drink looks more like gray, especially in photos.
I would say the service was pretty decent. Our server was friendly. Our soups and drink came out quick. The main dishes didn't take too long after that.
The atmosphere can be loud but we were seated in a nice cozy spot in a corner. It had warm lighting and some curtains that partially covered the corners to make it slightly cozier.
Overall a great experience to just dine at a table. The hibachi experience seems like a fun time if you're interested in a visual show. Will be returning if I'm in...
Read moreThis is my mom's favorite restaurant, so it's where she chose to go for Birthday #84. The staff treated her like a queen, which thrilled her to the core. We didn't call ahead, but our server did ask if we were celebrating anything special. Pretty clever question. It forces you to consider them for when you ARE celebrating an event. Well played, Fuji Grill.
Mom wanted to be entertained, so she chose the hibachi table. We were seated immediately, but we had to wait a hot minute for a chef to become available. That gave Mom & me time to talk about how I'm her favorite child, so that was nice.
The server offered Mom a special free mixed drink for her birthday, but Mom declined, which was for the best because when the alcohol hits Mom, she's dancing on tables. And since these tables have actual grills on them, that would have caused some serious burning. The server offered her a Shirley Temple instead, and Mom enjoyed the heck out of that!
Our chef did not disappoint. He was a great entertainer & wished my mom a happy birthday no fewer than 12 times during the entire "show." She giggled every time. It was great!
I try to stick to keto, and there aren't very many options for that unless you're super-specific. I chose double vegetables instead of rice, and didn't think to tell them no sauce until I watched the chef douse them with it. I'm not one to complain, though, and it was my own fault, so I ate it anyway, and it was delicious. Carbs don't count on your mom's...
Read moreThis was the worst hibachi experience I have ever had. There was a serious mixup with one of our group's food, and the waiter would not even attempt to rectify it. Everyone at the table ordered from the hibachi grill and when my nephew ordered, he said 'teriyaki chicken'. The waiter was confused because, apparently, hibachi chicken and teriyaki chicken are different items at Fuji Grill. As someone who was a server at a hibachi restaurant for 15 years, I would have clarified with the patron ordering, especially since everyone else at the table ordered from the grill. After the misunderstanding was discovered, the waiter did absolutely nothing to correct this. He just kept stating that it could not be fixed because the food in the back was already cooked. I would have overlooked the fact that the appetizers, soup, and salad all came while the chef was at the table, the server never came back to see if we needed drinks or if everything was ok, and the fact that he did not clear one empty plate, but to not even make an attempt to fix the error was not acceptable. I will not be back to a Fuji Grill. With the vast selection of hibachi restaurants in the area, it is not surprising that this particular one was empty, with the exception of our table. Take your money elsewhere and save yourself the...
