I've frequented this pizza shop on several occasions, initially drawn in by the welcoming staff and satisfactory food quality. These positive experiences are the reason for my generous 2-star rating. However, my recent visit left much to be desired. I placed an order for a regular pie, a specialty pie, and two side orders of meatballs. Regrettably, the regular pie arrived overcooked and lukewarm, the specialty pie was missing the requested ingredients, and the meatballs were pre-sliced and excessively salty. Despite these issues, I was charged the full amount for the order. I arrived 25 minutes after placing the order, which was within the 20-25 minute window I had been given. Upon discovering the issues with my order, I called the shop to request a resolution. Unfortunately, I was placed on hold for several minutes and ultimately disconnected. This call was made on a busy Friday, yet I would have appreciated a callback within an hour to address the mistake. I sincerely hope that the shop can deliver joyful experiences to other customers in the future. I may reconsider my review if my family decides to order again and the quality improves. Albert’s Pizza in Copiague, NY. My son swears by this place! When I say which pizza place do you want tonight, 10 out of 10 times he says Alberts! Here’s why: Alberts boast what they call a square pie. (It’s actually rectangle). It has 10 pieces, cheese on the bottom, sauce on top, crust baked to a golden brown crispy texture. We never have leftovers! And they also do a square pie in other variations, like buffalo, pepperoni, sausage etc. Definitely worth trying. You’ll make it one of your go to spots! I have family members that request Alberts when they come for a visit. Thumbs up for the square pie!

Order never came, when I called after sending multiple status updates via app - they said “sorry we rejected it, we’re not delivering your order” uber support said otherwise, the order was never rejected they had to call the store to verify rejection. Alberts didn’t even attempt to make it right and deliver after 1.5+ hr waiting. It’s a 2 mile, 7 minute drive.

I’m writing to share some thoughts because I genuinely care about your pizzeria. I’ve grown up in Copiague and Albert’s Pizza has always been a big part of my life. From as far back as I can remember, you were my number one pizzeria. Out of my personal top three growing up, I would rank Albert’s Pizza first, Pizza Express second, and Mama’s Pizza third.

My father often tells me how, in the 90s, Albert’s Pizza was considered the best in town. Although I know there was a change of ownership since then, what you served was still the best to me. I grew up with your pizza even after that change, and it was consistently delicious.

What I loved most was your Sicilian pizza. It was your specialty and your standout product. The sauce was rich, perfectly salted, and runny enough to leave a satisfying mess on your hands and at the bottom of the box. The cheese was stretchy and cooked just right, while the crust was crispy but never burnt. It had a unique quality and flavor that made Albert’s Pizza the best around.

Unfortunately, since the end of COVID, I’ve noticed some issues with the pizza that didn’t exist before. It’s inconsistent in quality, and it’s something I want to point out so you can possibly address it and improve. Specifically: Inconsistencies with Sauce: Sometimes the sauce is delicious and perfectly salted, but other times it is overly salty. In the past, the sauce was always rich, perfectly seasoned, and notably runny. It would drip down and spread at the bottom of the box. This runniness was part of what made your pizza special. Now, it’s far less runny, which I suspect might be due to overcooking. Overcooking Issues: There’s a noticeable difference in texture. The crust is often too crispy or outright burnt, the cheese lacks stretchiness, and the sauce becomes more compact and dry rather than rich and runny. I believe this is likely due to the pizza being left in the oven too long, causing water content to evaporate, which results in a saltier taste and stiffer texture. Inconsistency in Cheese Quality: The cheese used to have that perfect stretch and blend well with the sauce. Now, it often feels overcooked and dry. Overall Quality Variation: Sometimes I order from you and the pizza is good, other times it’s not. This inconsistency is what brought you down from being my number one spot. Now, I rank Mama’s Pizza and Pizza Express as my top two, with you at third.

I’m not sure if you are using pre-made sauce or making it fresh in-house. If you’re making it yourself, I would suggest experimenting with your preparation process—specifically, the amount of salt being added. Additionally, I highly recommend testing out different cooking times in your ovens. Try baking some pies for less time than you currently do and compare the flavor and texture.

I’m sharing this because I care about Albert’s Pizza. I genuinely want to see you return to being the best. The pizza was special to me and my family, and I’d love for that quality to come back. I’ll continue ordering from you occasionally to check if things have changed, and I hope one day I can confidently say you’re back to being number one.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for all the great pizzas you’ve made...

This is an unfortunate, yet necessary review. Ive wanted ro come ro this pizza shop for a while. Not because of reviews or word of mouth experience, but just because I havent had the chance. I walked in said hello and no one said anything. I casually waited as a young lady came and looked at me twice then seemingly decided to leave me for last. Once she came i expressed being a first time customer and that ive wanted to come.here for a while. I asked her a few questions about the pizza choices and she responded hurriedly. I asked another question to make sure and she responded in the same way. I thought to myself, "maybe they're preparing to close", because she was moving very fast and i felt rushed.. almost u welcomed.. but i didnt want to go that far. Anyway, i chose a slice and waited. Before i knew it, it was bagged and she was at the register and she said, i can ring you out here. I felt rushed. So I asked a question, do u habe a .enu I can take with me. She shook her head no. But another young lady proceeded to explain that while they dont have what I asked for, i can go to thier website. Thank you young lady, she was a little heavy set, but kind. Thank you. After i paid the first girl says, u want a receipt? She said it so fast, trying to get me out, i asked her repeat herself. I said no thank you and she just walked off Still trying to give the benefit of the doubt, i asked, what time.so you close? She said 10pm... It was only 4:36pm. I said oh ok. I walked out feeling rushed and like inwas unwelcomed. Not Sure why since it was my first time.there. almost forgot. I asked for.the Bathroom and the first girl during that interaction was kind. But everything else was rushed and uncomfortable. So i get in the car and the pizza slice. Aside from not tasting good, it was relatively cold, which confused me because i just ordered it andnit supposedly just came.out the oven. Why would a slice just out the oven to give to some1 be cold?? I paid for it so i tried to force myself to.eat it. I could not. It was terrible. Its unfortunate because i. Looking for a good pizzareia thats close by.. This one FOR SURE IS NOT IT‼️‼️ I kindly got out of my car and put the remainder of the slice, which was the majority directly in the garbage. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN, and i will share this experience with the many ppl i know in the area and abroad. You can thank the young lady with the dark hair and dark...
