Alletto's Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

If there were negative stars that's what they would get. By far one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had and I was looking forward to a nice meal with a friend I haven't seen in months. Upon arrival they ask you to stop at the specials board so we did we spent a few moments we all decided we were going to get the seafood combo which included flounder shrimp and scallops we also decided we were going to start with a cup of lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was okay but not a sighting of Lobster in any of the three cups that we had. Next came the salad that was family style with everything soggy paper thin cucumbers not very appealing the choices for dressing was Russian or Italian. Next the waitress comes to take the dinner menu and we all tell her we want to try the seafood combos 2 broiled one fried. What we got was scallops that look like they were boiled not broiled swimming in some orange liquid which made our potatoes and corn soggy. The other waitress came over to check our table she realized half our entree was missing from the plates she said she would get the rest of the food out as soon as possible 15 minutes later we got a 3 inch piece of flounder and 2 shrimps The Flounder was so soggy when I put the fork in it it fell through the fork I flipped it open to realize that there was some kind of stuffing inside that look like it had been scraped off. it was not edible. The shrimps we're so overcooked they were curled little rubber balls. At that point we just asked for the check paid the bill and left. $28.00 an entree and left hungry. Needless to say we will never be back. The explanation for the bad service and missed menu items was that the waitress had just returned from Greece and wasn't back in the work...

Came here for the second time after an awesome first experience a while back. My father introduced me to this restaurant and I will continue to bring more friends and family here to experience it as well. I can’t say enough about this place. It feels like you’re eating a home cooked meal at a family gathering. It just feels like home to me. Nice and quiet atmosphere, good portion sizes. Salad dressings were so good, the bread came out fresh and literally steaming. My husband ordered the duck with the raspberry sauce and he absolutely loved it and raved about it. I ordered the chicken francese which was incredible!! The food was sooooo good. Can’t wait to try everything else next time. Then for desert we got cappuccino and some sort of peanut butter desert which was so delicious omg! The whole experience was just awesome from start to finish. Everyone working there was also just so friendly and accommodating. If you’ve never eaten here before, I would definitely...

I love seafood and I really want to like this place, I really do, but every time I come here it's a problem. First of all, no matter whether it's empty or packed it takes forever for the food to come out. When it finally does, there is always a problem. I have given this place multiple chances, because a friend of mine swears by it, but every time there was a problem! Once my food was cold. Another time, the food I waited 40 minutes for wasn't prepared how i ordered it. Yet another time, the lobster just wasn't right! The inside was full of giant black chunks. I know sometimes there are red chunks, but big black ones that kind of had an odor, no.. I'm NOT eating that. As for their prices, they were kind of steep, but you do get a lot so that's not so terrible. Honestly, I've tried Alletto's again and again. I like the atmosphere, I like the staff, but if I'm gonna be sitting there for over an hour every time I go there and they can't even get the drinks...
