I’d like to preface this review by saying that I have a deep appreciation for employees of the food industry; dealing with the general population can be difficult. As a customer, I have witnessed many interactions of restaurant staff members with unreasonable, spoiled, and disrespectful customers. I simply do not relate to that sense of entitlement or the need to publicly display tantrums akin to toddlers. Because of how much I hate these behaviors and that mindset, I have always done my best to be as understanding and flexible while treating food service employees as reasonable as I can in my interactions with them. This location of Chipotle has never disappointed me with any of the interactions with staff members and has maintained the standard of quality food that I expect when I go to one of their locations - as a person who would eat at a Chipotle literally every single day if I could, I greatly appreciate this.
That said, this restaurant has consistently let me down in terms of its preparedness and what I perceive to be overall management. In most cases, they are out of a popular ingredient that many customers wish to add to their meals. I have experienced this with chicken, white rice, fajita vegetables, and lettuce on several occasions at the restaurant, sometimes having to wait up to ten minutes for the ingredients to be prepared. I visited this location three days ago around 7:30pm and there was a line of customers waiting for there to be a batch of chicken cooked and cut. I frequent this location around this time, as it is after my workday and is in between my job and my home, and Chipotle is one of the healthier options available in the Lindenhurst area. I acknowledge that I am not a professional of the food service industry, as a frequent customer of this popular time of day (dinner), I am disappointed that the restaurant does not consistently have several ingredients that the customers wish to add to their meals in a timely fashion or at all. Parenthetically, because of the lack of these ingredients, this location regularly has lengthy wait times as customers have to wait for their ingredients to be prepared by the staff. This is normally the case for when I go to this location and was the case three days ago. There was an added level of frustration to the experience when i was told that there were no more forks in the restaurant on my way out. To be fair, I’d like to acknowledge that my meal was very tasty, like I’d expect from any chipotle chain.
I love Chipotle Mexican Grill - as someone who frequents the chain in all of its Long Island locations, I have been able to develop a deep appreciation for this fast casual chain that offers healthy and tasty options. When the Lindenhurst location opened up less than a mile from my home I was so excited. I hope to see improvements in these areas of the Lindenhurst chipotle’s operation because the food is as good or better than some of the neighboring locations. I’m sure the Lindenhurst community would agree with the details of this review and would greatly appreciate these issues remedied. Lastly, I’d like to reiterate that this one-star review is simply the result of the managerial issues with the supply and flow of the restaurant and not the taste of the food; I believe that the discrepancy is enough to credibly give a review such as this one star review.

Read moreI was totally disappointed in this location. I thought they forgot the chicken in my chicken burrito but it was in the bottom 1/4 of the burrito. Not satisfying at all. There was 90% rice and I had requested "light" rice. It was also cold by the time I got it home and I picked it up at the time I was told to be there. We also ordered a taco; we literally peered through the shell from end to end as the food never touched the bottom of the crispy shell. It was just a sloppy mess!
I stood near the register for pre-paid orders and not a single person turned around or acknowledged I was there. Since this was my first visit, I asked do I just grab my own order? A very young person turned her head and nodded yes. I realize it is "touchless" but I didn't realize that mean no customer service or assistance either.
I tried 3 times on their app to pay with both a debit and then a credit card and the site would not accept any of my plastic. I had to call the order in and the phone system accepted my card. Not even able to tell anyone that the app was broken.
Chipotle has gone downhill and corporate and/or franchise owners don't seem to care!!! If you are local, you are best off going to Swell Taco for a personal touch; your food won't be cold and you get what you pay for.
I will say I've frequented many Chipotle's locations in NYC and they are just managed better, prepared better, trained better and this one was truly not worth...
Read morePicked up an online order, placed by my wife for a 4pm pickup on Sunday 8/28. The order was ready on time, as I arrived exactly at 4pm, saw the bag with her name on it, grabbed it & went home. My daughter opened the bag, saw 2 bowls, 2 bags of chips, some cheesy dip, no drinks & says "this isn't our order, but it has our name on it.". So, I drive back to the Lindenhurst store, speak to a young manager named Christian, who tells me to get back on line and they'll redo my order.... to which I respond, "how about I give YOU the bag, and you can have the order remade for me because I didn't place the order so I don't know what was ordered thru the app.". So he takes the bag, has the order remade, and hands it back to me with no apology of any kind. No words at all, other than just "here!". I don't normally post reviews, good or bad, but this was just another instance of the complete lack of customer service these days, and it left a bad taste in my mouth, from an otherwise very decent Chipotle location on most other occasions. The service industry is dead, and most of these new employees treat customers as is they are doing them a favor rather than doing their jobs, doing the bare minimum to collect a paycheck... no pride of work anymore. Very unfortunate and...
