I saw the reviews before going but I figured, how can you mess up a pizza spot? Folks have got to be exaggerating and expecting too much, but no. This place dysfunctional. I walk in and 4 people already waiting. No one at the counter and the barren interior had the vibe of a seedy check cashing place. Empty void of a room, one counter. And a door with a number combination lock on it. After a few minutes the employee appears and confirms with customer #1 that his order is coming up. Customer #2 says he is looking to order. Employee says okay, and goes to ask if Customer #3 is picking up. He asks customer #2 if he can skip for a moment to help #3 with their pick up order. Should probably just help people in order, but I understand. It ended up being a not so quick thing because he ended up fumbling around with all the orders in the staging area. Checking on the computer screen for the order. And then checking again and finding it while confirming the guys name and phone number 3 times. I was already gritting my teeth. Customer #3 pays and leaves. He leaves the counter to go prep order for Customer #1 and completes that order out, but not before peeking in the boxes to confirm what he ordered was what he was getting? Weirdly enough he did this with every order handed over the counter. I can only assume there has been a history of mixing up orders already. I sat down was just observing everything waiting my turn. Another customer enters as employee goes to the back. Employee then takes the new person that entered before me. Fair enough I wasn't standing in line. I wasn't going to argue with the employee or appear to skip in front of the woman, but I did expect him to acknowledge I was there first and hadn't been help. Anyway, she is picking up as well, give a name. Fairly quickly finds her order (Keep in mind there are only like 3 orders in the "heater") She says she had sodas on her order. With confidence the employee shows her the receipt, says there are no sodas. She could have sworn she ordered sodas, but said fine, I willing to add it to the order. She then goes to double check the receipt and then she shows employee the receipt and says, yes. Yes there are sodas. Now add the sodas to the order. He asks which sodas. She says the ones that I was supposed to get in the order and reads out each one. No apology, nothing for having her pay for these sodas and almost make her walk out with what she paid for. Yikes. Finally its mine to turn bat. I give him my order name and he gets it out the "heater". Now I am saying "heater" because it isn't on. Its meant to keep the pizza warm between order completion and pickup and its not turned on. I noticed it as I waited so I was curious if it was even warm. And not to my surprise it wasn't. So the employee takes his peek at the pizza like he did for every order and I look at it and say; Is that a pan pizza? I ordered a pan. It looked hand tossed. And he quickly acknowledged as well it looked hand tossed. To his credit, he did offer to make a new pizza and give me the one already made but then he brings the pizza back to the pizza cook and she start screaming at him telling him that she used the pan on that order. Is the person making the pizzas the manager back there? The employee comes back and say, my mistake that is the pan pizza. Meanwhile she is still bellowing in the back from being confronted about her pan pizza. I am thinking what in the world is going on here. I look at him confused and reluctantly take the pizza which felt from the box is cold. As I walk out I tell him its cold and I leave. So I get home, and spent time to reheat the pizza and yeah it really wasn't a correct pan pizza. I think what happened was a pan was used but I think they used the same dough as a hand tossed because usually when you get pan it is thicker and crispier. Crust was pretty soft and the pizza felt kind of undercooked even after reheating. I provided a picture to show how it looked...
Read moreWednesday October 1st I Placed an order on the app from the pizza hut located at 50 E sunrise hwy. In Lindenhurst NY. Upon checking out I realized the order was set to pickup but I really wanted delivery. So I Called the store to see if it could be changed to delivery and was told no but after some rude attitude I was told by a second employee that delivery would be $9. I think for delivery that’s a little bit crazy so I decided never mind we’ll just pick it up. My wife picks up the order and gets it home just to realize they had forgotten a portion of our order that we were charged for. At this point I just want a refund for what was missing because after the rude customer service I’ve received thus far, I’m thinking I probably won’t be giving this location any further business. So I call back to have them refund what was missing, just to be told that a refund is not possible. My only options are I can either go back and pickup what was missing or I can get a store credit for next time. I explained that there will likely not be a next time so I Just want to have what was missing refunded. Again with the rudeness am being told those are my only options so I ask for a manager to which the young lady Haley said there was none available at the time but I could leave my info and wait for this manager Ahmed to return my call at a later date but also had no idea when this manager would be in. So I continue to ask whatever questions I can think to ask before hanging up so I have all the info I need and she says to me “we don’t have time for this because we have customers in the store, I already told you what has to happen so you have to wait for the manager to call you”. I think that for a customer who you have taken money from and now owe money to, you should have plenty of time to turn this bad interaction into a good one and attempt to retain a customer but that’s not what this store believes in. Never getting a call back from this so called manager, I call again the following day to see if he happens to be working and sure enough he answers the phone. I explain to him the reason for my call and he’s already aware of the situation and says he tried to call me back the day before to issue a refund because the refund could only be applied the day of the transaction which doesn't make much sense to me. Not sure how he’d be trying to call me back if there was no manager in anymore for the day but anyways I explained to him that I tried to speak to the staff the day prior and they told me there was nothing that could be done until the following day if the manager was in and they had no time to deal with the situation either and he now says to me that it’s too late for a refund so I can either pickup the order they forgot to give me or just get a credit for next time. So after telling this manager Ahmed that I have absolutely no interest in ever ordering anything from them again, he continues to tell me that it’s too late, a refund is no longer possible and my only options remain either pickup the order or just keep a store credit. This is a prime example of how not to...
Read moreMy recent experience with Pizza Hut was nothing short of a complete disaster. It's not often I feel compelled to write a negative review, but the service I received was so bad that it deserves a special mention.
I placed an order and was looking forward to a nice, easy dinner. When I arrived to pick it up, the staff told me they had no record of my order. They didn't offer to remake it or try to find a solution. The employee I spoke with simply shrugged and said, "We don't have it." Then, I looked at my credit card notification for charge and went back to ask again. After that, they gave the order to me. I asked for Napkins and plate and they told me that they don’t give napkins and plates due to this branch only being take out which is ridiculous.
The lack of accountability and the complete apathy of the staff was stunning. No apology, no attempt to make things right—just a complete dismissal of my time and money. It’s a shame because I’ve ordered from Pizza Hut before without issue, but this level of incompetence and terrible customer service ensures that I will not be a returning customer. Save yourself the trouble and order from somewhere else that actually values their customers.
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to any sensible person based on their worst customer...
