VERY ALLERGY FRIENDLY My server was Erica (who I believe is the owner), and she was very helpful and knowledgeable. I have extensive food allergies, and she knew what dishes were safe and which weren't. She also knew to ask the kitchen to avoid cross contamination, which I usually have to explain and specifically request. I have asthma, and nothing in the restaurant gave me breathing issues.
I've had the French toast, pancakes, fried eggs, bacon, sausage, and home fries from here and it was all excellent. I don't normally like anyone's French toast or pancakes besides mine or my mom's, but these were delicious.
The over medium eggs were cooked perfectly, with runny yolks and completely done whites. Erica said the cook is the egg whisperer, and she was right.
The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and cooked. There were no brittle under-cooked potatoes.
The bacon was thick and perfectly golden, and the sausage links were perfectly browned and had great flavor.
I picked up the cheese toast with tomatoes and bacon today. I haven't eaten it yet but I know I'm going to love it.
I highly recommend the Noshery, for tasty food and for a place that takes food allergies seriously. It was really nice not having to convince someone to take my medical concerns seriously....
Read moreI have no idea what the food would be like in this place..it's a small restaurant some what like a little bistro. those types of restaurants have always been appealing to me. Yesterday I walked slightly a head of my sister and went in and was asked if they could help me. I said I am just looking simply because I was waiting for my sister to arrive. I went to walk to the bathroom and the gentlemen behind the counter came running after me. He asked me what I was doing and I said just using the bathroom, he said no your not. Are you having lunch here? I was so taken aback by the rudeness of this gentlemen that I said no he said leave. All of this took place loudly in front of others that were dining. I was really humiliated. I do not know if the person was the owner, a manager or just an employee, shame on him no matter who he was. You just do not treat customer this way. As I was leaving the store, I handed him back a card I took and said we were planning on eatting here, I was waiting for my sister, however after the way I was treated I would never eat here. He rudely replied...good thats fine. As I stated this type of homey restaurant has always appealed to me, however treatment of a customer is always...
Read moreFirst of all, this place is super tiny. You feel like you are stepping into a tiny deli in Queens that they squeezed a few tables into and tried to call a restaurant. It's so bad that the staff was constantly sending people outside, telling them that it was a fire hazard for them to wait to be seated inside the establishment. Second, the decor is very dark. Skeleton tablecloths, earie masks on the wall. A sign that says "be nice or leave." All very odd choices, but I understand some people might be into this, so okay. The prices do not reflect the quality of food or the experience. Most of the options seem to be overpriced. My food was okay tasting. I was not disgusted, but didnt have any desire to finish my plate. Honestly, I would have preferred Ihop. They have a drink called an "Apple Bomb" for $4. It's literally just a small round bottle of apple juice. Nothing special, not worth the cost. The last thing that concerned myself and my friends is that they charge you a fee for paying with a card rather than cash. This has been deemed illegal by the supreme court, but we just wanted to get out of the place at that point, so we let it go. Overall, it was not a good experience and we will not...
