After seeing the reviews and social media posts I was eager to give this place a try. We planned to visit on Valentine’s Day, but plans changed and we ended up going for dinner the evening before V-Day.

Parking was a breeze and we were able to secure a parking spot on the Main Street directly in front of the restaurant. There’s also a parking lot behind the row of shops where Brazico is located. The interior decor is fantastic. The restaurant almost feels out of place on such a quaint road, but the area is rapidly changing and there will likely be more spots with a chic, modern vibe arriving in the next year or two.

We were quickly greeted and seated by a friendly woman who doubled as our waitress. I ordered a caipirinha, but it honestly tasted like someone physically jammed a straw directly into a lime. Yes, it’s supposed to have a lime taste, but this drink was supposed to have other flavors including cane juice, but there wasn’t a single hint of sweetness. Thankfully they allowed me to swap the drink for something else, so I opted for their take on a mezcal mule, which was delicious.

For the appetizer we ordered the chips and guac. Everything tasted fresh, but could’ve used a bit more salt for our liking (just a personal opinion). There was a salt shaker on the table and we used it.

For my entree I ordered the Chuleta a la Parilla (pork chop). It came with collard greens and mashed yuca. Presentation was nice. The pork chop was laid atop a bed of greens (which looked like the grass you’d find in a child’s Easter basket). Personally the sides were a bit bland, but the pickled garnish added a great flavor to the greens and yuca. The pork chop was okay. There wasn’t a huge amount of flavor and the middle was slightly overcooked. The waitress did bring two bottles of hot sauce to the table when our entrees arrived and the sauce did help somewhat.

My companion ordered the skirt steak and said that it was good, but could’ve used more char from the grill to give the meat a bit more texture.

One nice thing about the staff is that they were very attentive and kept our water glasses full and didn’t wait long to clear the plate and bowls from the table.

Brazico is a great addition to Amityville’s Main Street. I can see it being a popular happy hour destination. I believe the food and flavors will mature over time, so I’ll eventually return for dinner, but for now I see it as more of a late lunch or...

My husband and I tried this place for the first time last night. It was immediately a good experience!

The vibe is very cool; it’s a small place, but they really make good use of the space. I loved the atmosphere and decor. The little alcoves for the high-tops are great, they feel private, like you’re in your own little nook.

Every member of the staff was so friendly. Our waitress (Denise, if I remember correctly) was so pleasant, and very attentive! We didn’t interact with the bartender, but did get to see her working, and she was great. Super friendly and helpful.

The drinks were delicious, beautiful, and strong! I particularly enjoyed the Gryffindor Punch. The food was incredible. We had the Torresmo appetizer, and OMG. Insanely good. I had the Pollo Yucatan, which was unbelievably good. I wish I were eating it again right now! My husband’s Feijoada was also very good. He said some of the meat was a little tough, but he really enjoyed it overall. I had the carrot cake dessert special. It comes with ice cream on top, plus chocolate sauce and crumbled peanuts which they top it with at the table. It was… let’s go with delectable.

There is a single gender neutral restroom, for those who might be curious. The one seemed like plenty though, since it is a smaller restaurant. Restroom was cute and clean!

We spent about $140 for 3 drinks, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 1 dessert, which did not seem unreasonable to me. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. It was about a 30 minute drive for us - and we will absolutely...

I had an incredible experience at Brazico. We went on a busy Saturday night and sat at the bar to have a couple of drinks while we waited for a table. The bar was spacious and the bartender, Gina, was so lovely that we ended up foregoing a table and decided to eat at the bar. We had the chicken croquettes, two beef Brazilian empanadas and the hot honey sausage to start. Everything was perfect but the croquettes were my top pick there. My boyfriend got steak tacos for dinner, the steak was incredibly tender and well seasoned. I had the mocqueca (probably butchered that spelling) and it was the most delicious seafood dish I've ever had - mussels, shrimp and Mahi Mahi in an incredible coconut cream broth. The dinner portions were generous and the apps were perfectly shareable. Cocktails were amazing, we ended the night with espresso martinis and Dulce de leche churros. The owners were very present and constantly checking in with their guests to make sure everyone was happy. Incredible ambiance and decor, even better service and phenomenal food - Brazico is our date night spot from here on out. We can't wait...

Our first experience at Brazico was great! It’s a small restaurant located in the Amityville village. We were looking for a place to grab an early dinner and stumbled upon this interesting sounding place. First of all, the service is awesome. Our server had great energy and made some recommendations on some of her personal favorites, which I always appreciate! We ordered the coxinha cremosa to start, they are little chicken croquettes; the filling is super tasty and creamy and the exterior had a perfect crunch. I ordered the passion fruit salmon as my entree and I loved it. The sauce was amazing!! With a hint of that tequila flavor in there. Would highly recommend it! And my partner ordered the special they had, which was a grilled skirt steak with cheesy mashed yuca and greens. I tried it and the steak was also cooked perfectly and the mashed yuca is delicious. The drinks were good too, we both ordered the Caipirinha, and an espresso martini! Overall I would definitely come back and I would highly recommend this place!
