Fortunate Hand Coffee House — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

I will never forget the amazing experience I had at this coffee shop. To start off, I’m from Allentown, PA, and I had a wedding to shoot in New York near Fortunate Hand. I was so lucky to stumble upon such a gem. I love that you can walk in with the idea of just grabbing a coffee and leave with a tattoo if you schedule your appointment, of course.

I ordered the Spiced Maple Matcha Latte along with the Egg Bites, and everything was above and beyond. It was super fresh and incredibly tasty. What makes this place truly unique is that all the products they use are organic, locally sourced, and made in-house from scratch. That really left a big impression on me because I could tell the difference right away.

One thing that genuinely surprised me was their Lemon Olive Oil Cake. Trust me on this one, I’ve been to Spain, and I had a full-on Ratatouille moment with my first bite. The olive oil tasted just like the authentic kind from Spain, and the cake itself was absolutely delicious.

Before leaving, I tried another drink, the Golden Milk, which is a non-coffee option. It was perfect, warm, comforting, and had just the right amount of spice. I...

I stopped in to congratulate Katlyn and Brendan on Fortunate Hands first year anniversary! I’ve enjoyed watching the shop morph into what it has become! Katelyn wears her heart on her sleeve with her baking. Staying true to organic, wholesome and old school scratch. They are not taking frozen food made by someone else out of the freezer, heating it up and pawning it off to customers as fresh baked. All the cookies and cakes are delicious and unmistakably homemade ( when you know, you know). The artistry and professionalism continues with the drinks. The aromas from fabulous espresso, cold brew and homemade syrups fill the air and tease you upon entering the shop. Katelyn takes great pride in crafting traditional, top shelf drinks that hit the mark. Customer service is also top notch. You always feel welcomed and relaxed, which makes you want to return. K and B are both kind souls who have mastered their craft. I wish them well and look forward to another year!...
