Amity Ales — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

I am very disappointed tonight with the restaurant. First I would like to add myself and my family eat there all the time. Sometimes my son and I will eat lunch there two to three times a week. Appetizers were good, salad as well. The main meal took 50 minutes and we asked 2 times in between what was going on and asked for the manager 3 times. We were told they were backed up he was coming, but tables that arrived after us were being served full meals and the manager never came over. The food came, I ordered corned beef ruben sliders I recieved pastrami so greasy and one didn't even have meat, just a blob of melted cheese and no extra sauerkraut as I ordered. My husband ordered a full corned beef ruben with sweet potato fries got a pastrami ruben and regular fries. Again everything was terribly greasy. My daughter Inlaw ordered the chicken sandwich and it was just as greasy as everything else. My son ordered a chicken wrap that didn't even come with our food . We had to ask 5 minutes later where it was. I finally demanded the manager please come out. Our server said I told him but he said wait. The manager came out finally and I showed him the quality of the food and by his reaction I believe he already knew from being in the kitchen. He started off ok but started developing a sarcastic attitude, didn't go well. We asked for the unacceptable meals to come off the bill, wrapped the wrap and half of the ruben sandwich and we left. My daughter Inlaw and myself did not eat. My husband and son took theirs. We have never ever had this kind of experience in this restaurant. I have brought family, friends and even coworkers to experience what a great atmosphere, service and food you have. My husband's last words were this is the last time i will spend my money here. I don't know what happened tonight, but I hope this doesn't happen to other customers. I expect to hear from someone besides the manager on site tonight, preferably the owner. Very unsatisfied...

I am a firm believer in supporting local businesses. We have been here multiple times over the years. This is not the only bad experience I have had, but the lack of caring and attitude we received from the manager tonight has completely turned me off. First the waitress got my drink order wrong, I didn't say anything figured OK people make mistakes. Ordered another drink and this time the drink was correct. We ordered a few appetizers which were just OK. We went ahead and ordered entrees. One of them was incorrect, we let them know and asked for it to be corrected. I then asked for a "to go" order for one of the specials. I was told on the way back from the table that I wasn't able to get the special as a "to go" order. I explained that the rest of the table was staying I was just going to run it to my husband who is also a local business owner as he was not able to join us. Manager was not interested at all. One of my friends asked the waitress to have the manager come over so we could speak to him. He acted like he was doing us a favor. We mentioned that it wasn't noted anywhere on the menu that "to go" was not an option. He told us they didn't have to post it anywhere since he was telling us now and that's just the way it is. WOW!! We ask for the bill and we see that in addition to the long wait for the food, the 2 mistakes on our order and the rudeness of the manager we were charged a dollar for every sauce we got, which I don't have an issue with but the server certainly should have said there was a charge. Unbelievable the way we were treated. It's a shame I will not be coming back to Amity Ales considering I understand how important it is to shop and support...

So, I think it’s the new owners again, They were fast to take my order Got a water and a beer(tap) took like ten mins to get a water and another 10 mins for my tap beer( and the waiter is never around) I was in the back at the high tables and he’s always hanging out by the bar area. Finally came with one drink at a time and then we place order and a sandwich and a fries that’s took a good 20 mins and it wasn’t even busy . I asked the waiter hi do you know what’s Taking so long , and he wasn’t even sure what to say to me . Ok fine the fries finally came and it doesn’t even taste the same as the last time I was here .

Even better I ordered a beer a sandwich and sweet potato fries I got charged for an additional stuff for no reason this is great

Had to asked the waiter so where’s this 15 dollars stuff in supposed got charged for without even knowing I ordered it ?

Even better the new owner manager was soo busy hitting on under age girls too busy even look over to my table when I have a problem with my bill and of course the waiter was at the bar area again!

Man they have to keep this up you are going to have to close down real soon

Service is extremely horrible , Very slow the waiters no where to be found always at the bar, so like I would need to get up and walk all the way to the front in order to get some service here

This place use to be better but with constantly owner change and services just gets worst and worst every time.
