Schwartz’s Bagels & Backyard Burgers — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

How I haven’t written the review for this place being at my family and I are regulars blows my mind.

Schwartz Bagel is a fun local bagel and deli stop that my family and I visit regularly. I think we have been here every Sunday for the last three years. The staff is very professional, fast, and most importantly personable. We have kids now, it’s nice to go into a place and feel welcomed every single time.

In terms of the food, everything is fresh, made to order, and delicious. Whether you’re looking for a BEACSPK, a sandwich, a hero, pastries, a dozen bagels, a chopped salad, or platter - This place has it all. They also offer catering, and I’m sure that’s absolutely incredible too.

I feel like besides the staff and food, what’s separates this place is that there’s actually ample amount of seating to sit both inside and outside. I find many bagel places. Don’t have any seating now. It’s nice to sit down, and have your food brought out to you, and even better, they’ll probably greet you by your name!

I know my family and I will be long-standing customers for as long as this place is opened. Looking forward to all the memories, as well as seeing my kids grow up walking around...

I so much want to give this local spot 5 stars, because they have genuinely good bagels for a great price and they seem to openly support the community. I had their whole wheat everything and their French toast bagels, and the whole wheat is one of the better ones I've ever had! I haven't had the chance to dine in yet but the place looks very clean and modern, and I wouldn't give any pause to sitting down for a nice breakfast there. But my only real qualm is that on a few attempts when trying to go for lunch, they were already closed before the times they had listed. I understand it's a bagel place and it gets real slow after breakfast and not worth paying the money to keep things running for no customers. But it feels a little bad getting turned away more than once at still reasonable times (I.e. ~1PM). I make sure to keep it to strictly breakfast hours now, but would like to see a nod in that direction for customer service. Parking can be a bit tight even with the front and rear lot since they are shared, but the side street right near by has parking as well...

My Grubhub order was missing a sandwich. I got it at 10:30. Called the restaurant and it took until 1:30 for the phone to not be busy. I was immediately put in hold which means they put the phone down and I could hear them all having fun. I held for TWENTY minutes and finally gave up. I order from here all the time the food is ok not great but convenient. The odd thing is this was my first order using a gift card strange that an item was missing. Now I have to waste more time trying to get them on the phone to get my money back. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN. Update. They answer the phone say they’re closed and hang up on me. I call back and lost it on the girl (can you blame me). “Manager” calls me back full of excuses trying to blame it on me for yelling and that is why they don’t have enough staff because of customers yelling. If it wasn’t so ridiculous it would be funny. The. tells me I have to call Grubhub to get a refund. I hope they go out of...
