Went at 1:00 on Monday. They were closed. Steel gate closed. Hope they are still in business. Really wanted to try this place. Got a response from the owner. Went to Rincon Criola in Huntington station for my oxtail stew fix. Glad to hear that they are still in business. They need to update their Google page. It says they are open today. I will definitely give them a try the next time I need my fix. LoL 😂 OK, Google maps has been updated to show they're closed on Monday. Very disappointed. Ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas. Very frustrating experience with the server. She mumbled and whispered through a glass partition. I placed my order in a loud clear voice. I wanted two thighs and two legs. She was whispering something I couldn't understand. She called another person over, they discussed something I couldn't hear. It turns out that ordering legs and thighs causes some sort of a problem but I don't know what. The rice was just brown rice, no peas that I could find as I was digging through it picking out all the little pieces of chicken bones. I have no idea how so many little bones got mixed into the dish. The chicken tasted like regular roast chicken sprinkled with Frank's red hot sauce. The place is conveniently located for me. I really wanted it to be good. Won't...
Read moreFood is always good, but I feel like if I’m getting a large and it comes with two large pieces of chicken there should be a good amount of rice that comes into the bowl. I’ve been coming to this place for years and I understand with the prices of everything going up. When I went in the lady knew exactly what she was doing the way she was facing when she went to fix the plate of rice she did it so we couldn’t see how much she was putting on the plate. Now I don’t want a plate full of rice but if I’m getting two big pieces of chicken I do expect to have a good amount of rice. I feel like covering the bottom of the plate spreading the rice out is not right trying to make that stretch to fool people making them think they have a good amount of rice. And like I said I’ve been going here for years and have never paid 20 dollars for a jerk chicken peas and rice even with a can soda. I’ve did it online and in person many times and i don’t know if there’s a difference fee for night time. But even if they charged me for extra rice I don’t know how it went up to 20. If plates start off at 13 for a large and all I got was the chicken, that’s...

Not only is the food awesome but the customer service is second to none… My mom and I were craving some Jamaican breakfast one early morning and our journey we decided to stop to see if they were open. The was locked which but Sadie saw me peeping in so she walked over to open the door and found out what we needed. She went out of the way to prepare fritters, ackee and saltfish that we requested. I was speechless as I don’t know any other establishment which would have done the same. And can I tell you how scrumptious the meal was??? I felt as thought I was taken back to Jamaica, you can tell that all the produce used were fresh and everything was made with love. My mom and I left the restaurant happy and was ready to take on the day! Thank you Willie’s for putting your heart and soul in every meal you prepare.
