Truly an awful experience. To help alleviate the stress and strain put on businesses given these challenging times with Covid, my wife and I called in an order to go. They said 20 minutes, I got there after 25 minutes. There were a couple of people waiting to order online through the glass in the traditional bodega fashion, two very kind ladies (who insist that the food is wonderful) waiting very patiently for an order that they had placed in person, and another gentleman who I’ve been waiting for quite a while for his take out. I watched as most of the employees sat idle, pushing hot food around in chaffing pans, doing nothing to expedite the number of customers waiting for their food. After about 10 minutes I asked for an update on my order, to which I received a shrug and a confused look by portly gentleman at the register. Another 5 minutes I tried asking another person for an update, and was told the employee had “no idea”, while the aforementioned chubby fellow laughed. Completely confused, I waited at the behest of the two ladies mentioned before for another 15 minutes, at which point my anger surpassed my hunger and I walked out.
Summary: God awful service, indifferent and apathetic employees. I can’t imagine the place being very high quality in content of food given this level of utter laziness, though to their credit those women said the food was good, and it smelled pretty decent. Wish I could’ve found...

I went in with my girlfriend. I ordered the large circle platter, I asked for rice and 3 different meats. My girlfriend who simply did not want rice asked for the smaller circle platter with the same 3 meats that I had but no rice. The manager/owner says to us that if she’s going to order those 3 meats by themselves, each meat has to go in separate even smaller containers. It didn’t make sense to us because the amount that was separated in each container could have easily been put in the first small container she asked for, but so far whatever.
We go to check out, the manager/owner takes my card and puts my debit card into the reader and that’s when I looked down and it was $47.21!!! I couldn’t believe it! Essentially, we got 1 large latter ($15.99) and her portion of meats easily fit into the small size platter or less.
When I questioned the manager/owner, he told me he rung up each tiny container for about $9 each. It was absurd!!!! This should have been no more than $20 to $25 worth of food. It seems they force you to put each tiny portion of meat in separate containers to purposely charge a crazy amount separately. My girlfriend’s 3 tiny containers were STILL less food than I had in mine and somehow those 3 tiny containers cost nearly $30!!!!!

This restaurant is a fantastic find, earning a solid 5 stars from me. From the moment I walked in, Geraldo and Lily greeted me with such warmth and professionalism that I immediately felt welcome. Their friendly and polite service was a highlight of the experience. The restaurant itself is impeccably clean, and the food not only tastes great but looks amazing too. Every dish that came out of the kitchen was a feast for the eyes. The service was consistently excellent throughout my meal. While it might be a little on the pricey side, the quality of the food, the cleanliness of the establishment, and the outstanding customer service from staff like Geraldo and Lily make it well worth the cost. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Dominican cuisine in a welcoming and clean environment. I will...
