Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Town of Big Flats

I seem to have become quite the regular at the “Elmira” Applebee’s located in consumer square Horseheads. While the food is better than any other Applebee’s I have been to so far, I must say, the most enjoyable aspect of this Applebee’s would without a doubt be the staff. No matter what day I go in there or what time even, I’m almost always lucky enough to have exceptional service. Primarily though, I visit later at night. Mostly after 9. I’m here multiple times a week and I am absolutely never disappointed with my experience. Alli, Melissa, Kelly, Sara, Mo and Jess are all, hands down, some of the most amazing people I’ve encountered in customer service as a whole. No matter what night myself and my friends visit, it’s always a wonderful time. The girls are energetic, helpful, attentive and an overall blast to be around. I’m only one of many regulars who frequent this Applebee’s largely because of the 6 of them. If you were able to ask each and every one of us why we visit, we would more than likely all have the exact same answer. Most bartenders you encounter are usually relatively social, but only to a certain point. Alli, Kelly and Sara on the other hand are, to say the least, extraordinary. They are not only fabulously social, but genuine aswell. The managers, Melissa and Jess are also superb. Managers at many establishments I’ve visited almost never actively participate. You mostly see them watching over everyone, seeming as though they’re too good to get involved. Melissa and Jess on the other hand, they are always quick to help their staff any time it’s needed an they are always out interacting with guests, making sure the food and the experience is everything it should be. Last but not least, Mo. I have only once had her as a server, as myself and my friends always sit at the bar, but every time since then she has always interacted with myself and my party in a positive and enjoyable manner. Even when sitting at the bar, she is always still attentive to us and our needs... making the experience that much more enjoyable because you know she isn’t doing it to “get a good tip” like one might expect somewhere else. She’s simply doing it because she’s personable and she enjoys making our experience the best it can be.

While all Applebee’s are the “Neighborhood Grill & Bar” as they call themselves. This specific location takes that slogan to the absolute next level with their service, food and most importantly, their staff. I have been to many restaurants. I almost always go out of my way to try and experience something new while I’m out traveling... but I still have yet to find a place that can hold a candle to this Applebee’s. Well this particular Applebees used to be our normal date night spot. Tonight we had a less then attentive waitress. We ordered the chicken broccoli Alfredo [which we where told came with a breadstick], breadsticks and Alfredo sauce [which we had to explane was indeed on the menue and even pointed to it], pretzels and beer cheese [which I find very good comes with honey mustard], the new strawberry rainbow lemonade which was very nice comes with one refill, the quesadilla burger which I like but that's a personal preferance, and lastly I asked for the strawberry mango blended margarita produced ID for both at the table as is asked for ever other time I'm here and two where produced. (This is inportand because as the driver I cant have 2 and my wife will not drink tequila. We even had explained all the mistakes of the previous visit to the waitress before we started in that we where missing some item on the last visit. So first i brought my mom here to get dinner around 2 pm Friday morning, someone came bursting through the door as my 62 year mom was coming in w/o any manners cutting her off at the door just to have a smoke outside i dont think this is ok... We were seated quickly and our food arrived in a timely manner, orders were taken quickly as well my mom for some reason got less food then me and what they were calling a half stack of ribs seemed kinda small. Ok my mom complained about it and was upset because we had come here prior and she had food to take home not this time tho and i wasn't going to say anything about it in a review was just gonna let it slide But now something else has occured in the coming days now yesterday and today both me and mom have been sick with Constant Diarrhea so bad we havent been able to leave the bathroom for long getting little to no sleep because of it, stomach pain, dry mouths and been burning up and i seriously dont think its a coincidence.
