If I could give 0 stars I would. I debated about whether or not to post a review, but, given every time I drive by Joe's I feel an overwhelming bout of anxiety and anger, I feel it necessary to share my horrible experience - this place does not deserve our business. I am upset by the response of this business on these reviews saying "it doesn't sound like us!" when, it really, really does. The pizza is fine but the customer service was truly the most horrifying thing I’ve ever witnessed. This was also NOT just a one-time occurrence where we happened to get the staff on a bad and busy day. I tried giving them that benefit of the doubt three times, and was always shocked at the mistreatment of customers by staff. Each time we’ve ordered from them the food wasn’t ready when we got there - and not just a little late, the last time it took over two hours to get our pizza. The employees were not apologetic at all; in fact they seemed annoyed that we wondered how long until our pizza was ready. The last time, both temporally and literally, that we came in to pic up our order, we gave our name and the staff member literally walked away and I heard the chef mumble something about 30minutes. After standing at the counter in silence for 5 minutes, I deduced that the 30minute mumble was in reference to our order and we sat down to wait among a very large crowd of silent customers all waiting for their order. While annoying, the worst was witnessing the employees literally screaming at a small child who asked on behalf of his father when their pizza would be ready. They were sitting in the restaurant before we arrived, and, given the lateness of our own order, I can only assume they were also waiting a long time. When the little boy approach the counter and said "excuse me, you said 30minutes?" the chef started SCREAMING at him. At various points the cook and other staff would just yell out into the literally silent crowd of people waiting for their food with various rude remarks and slam around their ingredients and containers. At one point a female staff member yelled at someone to "sit down and stop staring at me" and when their order was ready she literally SLAMMED the pizza down on the counter and yelled "here - now get out of my face!" A door-dash driver who had been waiting before I arrived had been waiting for over a half hour, and, when he approached the counter to inquire as it had been over the half hour, he was met with yelling, exclamations about how "you people are the worst", and, when his order was finally ready the chef snarkily yelled at him to "drive safe." A truly unsettling and upsetting experience, and unfortunately not an anomaly. Every time I have visited this establishment, I have been met with complete rude and aggressive treatment. Do not give this business your money until they truly apologize and demonstrate a commitment to correcting this...
Read moreFire your staff. All except the guy with the brown hair in a manbun.
Came around 7:30 on 4/1, waiting for one pizza for Uber Eats. Waited a few minutes before any of the 3 workers acknowledged my or the other 2 customers’ presence. Cashier lady at the front rudely and disinterestedly asks the first customer what he needs.
“I’m here for pickup.”
She then ignores him and turns to the next customer, “YOU?”
Manbun guy, making all the pizzas himself, hears and tells us none of our pizzas have been prepped yet and it will be 15 mins or so.
The phone rings. Cashier lady picks it up, says, “Hello?” disinterestedly, and hangs it up a second later. It rings again. Same thing.
A fourth employee enters. Where he was before, I don’t know. He goes for the drink cooler and grabs a drink for himself, then grabs cashier lady a Diet Coke. They both start drinking their drinks and walking around, talking, doing absolutely nothing more or less, while manbun guy makes the pizzas.
Other woman employee grabs a sack of pepperoni. “Do something with this,” she says, and hands it to the drink guy. Proceeds to do nothing, waiting for pizzas to finish baking. When a pizza is done, while cutting it, shouts the customer’s name INTO the pizza, undoubtedly spitting on it.
A woman walks in to buy a slice of pizza.
“Can I buy a slice of pizza?”
Cashier lady replies only, “Nope. Can’t help you.” A few seconds later adds, “We’re so backed up on orders.” The customer simply walks back out the door. Cashier lady proceeds to drink her Diet Coke and do absolutely nothing.
But the best part? While manbun guy is making the pizzas, she walks over—with her Diet Coke—and starts poking her finger into the dough from one of the unprepped pizzas out of boredom.
Needless to say, I took the pizza and got the hell out of this circus. The really sad thing is, the pizza looked wonderful. Almost ordered from here a...
Read moreThe joes Brooklyn pizza in brighton is terrible. I was in the restaurant to order a medium pizza. Asked for a menu was told to go online & they have no menus. I didnt have my phone with me to go online. The young kid had no skills in customer service & certainly didn't seem to want to sell pizza at 4:55 pm. Place was not busy. I ordered a medium grandma's I remember ordering that in henrietta. Ask the young kid, if they had that pizza and he said yes. Paid for the medium pizza $28.00. I asked if I could order just a slice of their vegetable piece, the special was buy one get one free. The kid told me it's 5 pm & that's over with. I have been in the restaurant business for a very long time. I would have honored it for the guest. Considering there were loads of pizza slices sitting out & you don't want to sell the bleeping special. You don't have any customers beating the door down. Some of the sliced pizza look like they had been sitting for hours. I was reading the comments & noticed the owner was going to address customer service with staff months ago, well that went on deaf ears......nothing has changed. We got home to eat the pizza the crust was not like the one in henrietta. The dough was dried out & certainly not a NY style. My husband was not happy & said that place is so bad we will go to henrietta the next time. Hopefully, that one has not gone down hill, too. Places like Fava, Blaze Pizza are doing an amazing job making pizza and taking care of the customers, too. Don't see the Brighton Brooklyn...
