We walked in approximately around 10:45/11, the latest 11:15 last Fri. We waited to be sat although there were clearly tables available that could accommodate the party of 6 that we had but we were eventually seated. When our waiter came, we ordered apps & drinks. When it got to my father, he specifically stated that we had JUST gotten off of work & that he wanted to taste the alcohol in the drink he was ordering since they are notorious for having light and watered down drinks. The waiter told us that all drinks are measured out & that he was able to order & extra shot in that case. After our apps, I flagged our waiter down so that we may order our second round. He told me that his manager said he couldn't serve us drinks anymore. My father immediately looked upset, I attempted to re-assure him that the waiter was only kidding. The waiter looked at me & said that he was dead serious. My father wanted to clarify if it was just last call, the waiter said that it was just us specifically. He said that per his manager this was b/c we were "being loud(apparently loud enough to be heard from the bar)and seemed to be trouble makers" & that we were "already inebriated".I was still in scrubs from work,we had stated upon ordering that we had just finished a long day at work & this was our first round& we hadn't even finished that! He shrugged & said that his hands were tied, that the best he could do was bring the manager over. When he came over and I noticed that I was the same gentleman that had dropped off our apps. So he had the opportunity then to ask us politely to quiet down but didn't. I asked the manager, Jaime, why it was decided that we weren't allowed to get drinks. He said b/c he assumed that we were already drunk & that we looked like we were causing trouble. I would like to point out that 1, we were the only heavily tattooed party in our section and 2, the only party with darker skinned guests that I saw in our section. I informed him with the exact same information that I had told the waiter and asked why didn't any one come up to the table& ask us to quiet down, what happened to that courtesy? He glided past that answer & just continued to repeat that this was his decision. I asked him one last time, given the new information about us not having drank prior to coming to Applebee's, if he was going to serve us drinks and he said no. I then told him that we no longer wanted to dine in that case & wanted the number to corporate and his supervisor. He snarkily said "sure" &waltzed off. I took my friends girlfriend to the bar to pay for a shot for us, since we couldn't be served at the table & we had no problem being served there. After our shot, I looked over from the bar & see the manager throw the card at my father so I rush over to the table & ask him what his problem was. I proceed to tell him in Spanish, seeing that he was Latino, that the way he's treating other people of color is disgraceful & he should be ashamed. Coincidentally a co-worker of mine was also dining a few tables away from us. He had come over to ask if we were ok & we explained what had happened to us. He said he found that funny, given the fact that not only did he have a larger group and were laughing & carrying on, but that they were on their 4th drink....each! At this point I turn my attention back to the argument and realize that there is another employee there that hadn't been before, trying to explain what was going on to us. I asked exactly who he was & why he was apart of the conversation. He informed me that he was the bartender & also stated, verbatim "I am only here because he (Jaime) asked me to come over. I don't know what happened,I didn't even hear you guys from the bar". I exclaimed that that was my exact point, especially because I had just ordered drinks from him after being told that we could be heard from the bar! If that were true, you would think that we wouldn't be able to be served. I am now googling the corporate number & e-mail for Applebee's . Never go here...ever. We feel so degraded and...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review for Applebee's in Miller Place, Long Island – A Perfect Family Dining Experience!
My family and I recently had an absolutely wonderful lunch at Applebee's in Miller Place, and I'm still smiling thinking about our visit. From the fantastic food to the exceptional service, this location delivered a truly memorable dining experience that checked all our boxes.
Absolutely Delicious Food That Pleased Everyone 🥩🍤🧀 The meal was outstanding from start to finish. I enjoyed the steak with mushrooms and onions, cooked to a perfect medium-rare - juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. My wife loved her shrimp and steak combo, with succulent shrimp and a beautifully seasoned steak that was cooked just right.
But the real showstopper? Our 1½-year-old son's first taste of mozzarella sticks! One bite and he was completely smitten - that golden crispy outside giving way to ooey-gooey cheese that even we couldn't resist sneaking a piece. Now he asks for them constantly!
Service That Exceeded All Expectations ✨👏 What really made our visit special was the incredible service, especially given how busy they were. Here's what impressed us most:
When I was struggling to apply my free appetizer coupon at the end of our meal (holding up the check during the lunch rush), our server was unbelievably patient. With a genuine smile, she told us, "No worries at all, take your time!" - even though the restaurant was packed to capacity. That kind of understanding and hospitality is rare these days.
Despite clearly being short-staffed during peak hours: We never felt neglected Our drinks were constantly refilled The staff checked in at just the right intervals (attentive but never intrusive)
The Perfect Family-Friendly Atmosphere 👨👩👦💖 As parents of a toddler, we especially appreciated how: The staff good-naturedly laughed at our son's enthusiastic mess-making They made us feel completely at ease The entire restaurant had a warm, welcoming vibe despite the crowd
Final Verdict? Our New Go-To Spot! 🍽️🔥 This Applebee's location delivers on every level: ✅ Consistently great food (from entrees to kid favorites) ✅ Outstanding, patient service (even when slammed) ✅ Relaxed, family-friendly environment
What could have been a stressful moment with the coupon turned into yet another example of their excellent customer service.
We'll definitely be making this our regular spot! If you're in Miller Place, do yourself a favor and visit this Applebee's - you won't be disappointed.

Read moreI will never go to this Applebee's location ever again. My son suffers from life threatening food allergies. The assistant manager and store manager Dean Krass refused to prepare food from their menu in a separate pan to ensure no cross contamination. I explained to them that my son is considered disabled because of his food allergies. I inquired if they were familiar with the Americans with Disabilities Act. After about 45 minutes of going back and forth, and Dean reaching out to his district manager Matthew ???, he was then magically able to find a pan to cook my son's food in. The waitress brought out what I believed was my sons food. Little did we know that this food was contaminated by being cooked on shared cooking equipment. Then the manager came to the table with my sons food that was cooked in the separate pan. I questioned them and they had nothing to say. This experience was horrible especially for my son. I know things could have turned out way worse. Thankfully my son fine despite ingesting a few fries due to...
