Better On A Bagel Deli — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Update-

Been meaning to update this. I did speak to the owner on the phone, when I was calling to try and thank Tom for being professional and decent person, and the owner apologized for what happened. He told me how the staff there at the time handled it terribly wrong and it shouldn't have been done that way in the slightest.

He did offer me to come back in when he was working and he would actually replace the BEC for free, like I was originally told. I haven't been back yet and kind of still don't want to, especially if that one guy (forget his name, but short guy with glasses) with a terrible attitude who hates his life is still working there. He will be the downfall of the shop sadly, along with the other workers who followed his lead and got nasty with me when I pointed out how it was them who messed up and them who said I would get a free replacement and then them who tried to make me pay again. I do thank the owner for being super chill and I hope he fired or fires that one guy.

Ever since the new owner took over at this place, how ever many years ago, it’s just been going down hill. The original owner was so friendly and welcoming, the new people just aren’t that. The other day I got a bacon egg and cheese and the girl didn’t put bacon on it. After asking 5 separate times about it. I called and Tom told me I would get a free replacement. I went back and was getting it made and they went to charge me and I told them Tom said it would be free. They said well the bacon is free you still have to pay for the egg cheese and bagel. So because they messed up I still have to pay when I told I wasn’t going to need to. They don’t care about their customers in the slightest. I’m just so done with these business over charging and taking advantage of their customers. Don’t bother going here. They lie to you to get you...

The place looked very clean. The bagel was fresh, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside, lots of cream cheese and very tasty. BLT on a roll, perfectly made. Wish I had gotten Cole slaw instead of macaroni thimble, bland. Coffee, well it doesn't taste like coffee. Perhaps because I've gotten used to Colombian coffee with hot milk, which is rich and flavorful. It seemed to lack the aroma and flavor of real coffee, with a slightly bitter aftertaste. I could be wrong, but that's just my opinion. Much like having a plant based burger, close; but no cigar. The prices, although many seem to feel they are fair, I find them too high. Especially on the BLT and coffee as well. Perhaps because there is no other bagel shop in the vicinity, but going a bit further quality and much better prices can be found. Especially much tastier coffee. I love coffee, this one not so much. Early morning, no one in the store and took a long time to get the order done. On the plus side, the young lady was very friendly, polite and got my order...

Pitiful deli. Got a pretty bad lunch sandwich there a while back (turkey,bacon,lettuce,tomato, honey mustard on a wrap). The lettuce didn’t seem right and the turkey was wet, it was gross. Fast forward to today and I gave then another shot. Breakfast this time. 2 eggs, bacon, spk on a wrap. I opened up the paper and the wrap was totally saturated in grease. It looked like it was dunked under water. I couldn’t even eat it, I threw it out. Even the medium coffee I ordered with a splash of hazelnut creamer wasn’t right. The coffee looked like milk there was so much creamer in it. Threw that out too. I don’t think I’ve ever wrote a review for anything, but this was ridiculous today.
