Today is Sunday 11/10/24 and I literally just left this location of Ihop on 347 and I am not only disappointed and appauled by the food but the service as well.. starting from the phone call to place a simple pick up , the girl who was working the phones that morning must’ve been new and barley spoke any English she couldn’t understand my order and had to pass the phone to somebody else.. but that was just the beginning! When I went in personally to pick up .. I was greeted by 3 Hispanic women up front who didn’t even greet me. Good morning , they just stared and looked up at me and I had to open with I was their for pick up and then I went over to a worker at the 2- go line her name was Vanessa … she not only whispered something snarky when I asked for more syrup after spending $80 on your establishment .. she had the nerve to tell me , “it’s not her problem..I’m not giving you lanother one bye 👋 “ that was just very rude and disrespectful I couldn’t Believe it myself .. thankfully a gentlemen in black shirt came over and told her it was okay to give an extra syrup to me… is this ? What this IHOP establishment. Comes down ? To these days .. rude workers and bad food… stay clear of this ihop on 347 in New York .. I am very upset by this .. and I don’t think Vanessa should be working 2 go line and her other associates should not be working the register/front…...
Read moreI understand they just opened up but the first time we came, we waited over 20 minutes to even be asked what we wanted to drink(it wasn’t busy either). One of the waitresses was spending more time at one table full of girls making jokes instead of catering to her other tables that I could visibly see how upset the other tables were getting. To the point I seen a manager start tending to her tables and apologizing to them for the wait. The second time we came we waited even longer even after being sat. We watched two other tables be sat after us and receive their food while we still hadn’t even been asked what we wanted for drinks. At first we just thought those tables had a different waitress but it was our waitress as well. I think she knew she messed up and even decided to stand over our table while we wrote the tip amount. The service here is horrible to the point me and my fiance decided to start going to the Ronkonkoma location for my ihop pregnancy craving because waiting for 30 minutes to even be acknowledged is not something I care...
Read moreSo I hit up the IHOP in Port Jeff today and honestly? Solid experience. First off, the place was super clean and bright—lots of windows, good lighting, not that weird diner dimness some spots have. It actually felt kind of cheerful to sit in.
Even though it was busy, service didn’t skip a beat. Our server, Nick, was on point—friendly, checked in just the right amount, and didn’t let anything slip through the cracks. You could tell he was juggling a lot, but still made it feel like we were a priority. Respect.
The food? Classic IHOP. You know you’re not walking out of there with a low-calorie meal, but that’s not why you go, right? The pancakes were the highlight (as they should be)—and the cherry on top? We got a free stack just for being in the IHOP Rewards program. Little wins like that make me weirdly happy.
Overall, it was a smooth and satisfying visit. Bright space, great vibes, and a free pancake...
