Where to start... Pros: Perfect soft egg, fresh toppings, spacious dining area, decent representation of 4 types of ramen. They also have good gyoza and buns. A wonderful selection of beverages. We had shoyu and tonkotsu ramen for reference...
Areas of improvement: Food: broth lacked correct salt level, noodles are slightly overcooked, needs more soup, and chashu pork is very overcooked to where it is falling apart. (It should have a bite to it)
The menu is photo copied, no signage anywhere of the menu, no traditional Asian spoons(only standard plastic spoons), in fact, everything served in disposable plastic containers. There's no music, no ambience, and a bit too warm inside considering you're eating hot soup in summer.
Overall, I really hope they fix these things because the truth is I want a place like this to succeed in Miller Place. Variety is the spice of life, but they will need to do better to survive. This place is a distant 2nd place in comparison to Slurp down in Port Jefferson. They aren't exactly neighbors, but I'm guessing many will be willing to drive a bit farther for superior ramen when the...
Read moreOverall a decent experience. The place is a very unassuming spot with just a sign that says "Ramen". Its a bit sad on the inside, very much a takeout place, as shown by the fact that they have only plastic take away bowls for you to eat from. The ramen was alright, they have a variety of different spices and sauces (chili oil, soy, vinegar) for you to add to the food. The broth was a bit bland and needed quite a bit of spices to fine tune it to my liking but I did end up enjoying. The noodles are a but like instant ramen noodles nothing nice about them at all they are basically just their, which was a shame. The meat is great though the chasu was delightful, just a bit on the small side. The rice bowl was a sleeper hit, the chicken and pork worked really well together and the flavors in that dish were good, that was also on the small side. And while I did enjoy the meal overall it certainly wasnt a memorable one. The place isnt a bad ramen shop by any means but doesn't really stand out either. Fine for a quick bite to get your ramen fix but certainly not the best...
Read moreI cannot express how good this place is. I’ve eaten at hundreds of Raman places in my life as it is my favorite dish. I’ve had places all over Long Island and New York City. I can say without a doubt this place makes the BEST ramen I’ve ever had. After eating here I cannot eat at Slurp, Iron Ramen, or anywhere else as nothing even comes close to comparing to how good this place is. Every element of the ramen is so incredibly tasty and it all blends perfect and the noddles have such an amazingly fresh texture and taste. If you like ramen even a little you MUST try this little place. The family who owns the business are the kindest people I’ve ever met and go above and beyond simply offering good service. I wish this place was open everywhere I traveled, I’d eat...
