I was introduced to Steve Rueda by his father who is also in the shoe business. I have a chronic left ankle problem. I was looking for a Birkenstock sandal to use as a slipper. I arranged an appointment with Steve and he had several choices for me to to try on. I was unable to adapt to the Birkenstock and was shown other sandals until I settled on a Vionic house shoe/slipper which suited me perfectly.
