We were not impressed. I may have gone thinking it was going to be better than it was. The service was all over the place, except for our waiter, he was fantastic. There were bus boys and maĆ®tre d' all over the restaurant- looked like too many kids working. Then the owner yelled at one in front of us and a bunch of tables. Never mind I personally donāt like attitudes and treatment to people like that, she could have took them to a private area and told them what she thought was so important to say right away. Our appetizer came out and literally 7 minutes later our food came out, oh my god, so never mind our table was tiny weeny, we never got to finish with our app, they took it away to bring our food!! The food was not as good as I thought it would be, now obviously I didnāt get to try the entire menu but the total of 7 items we did get were not so spectacular that I would say.. well even though my stay sucked this time would I go back because the food was just great. No, no, not at all! My table was small- and so what no big deal but it was a big deal when the table right next to us had people come in sit and the customers big but knocked over my very expensive wine and some other items on my table. Then the owner proceeded towards these people, whether they were famous, Had money maybe, or maybe she knew them within the community the owner stood with her backside towards us wedged between the tables for a good 20 minutes talking to these people we had to look at the owners butt the entire time!! It was like I was in an episode of I Love Lucy! To top it off it was birthday!! The owner knew this because I told them prior to me coming and yes, they put balloons at my table that flew in my face all night because they had the door approximately 25 feet away from me open, blowing in, but at the same time thank gid because it was so hot in there. But no, that wasnāt it. It was the fact that that owner that spent time letting me see her buttocks for 20 minutes, never even came to say happy birthday. Then why ask if there was an occasion if you canāt even say happy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ate at the bar which was a very nice experience. The bartender(s) on a bustling Wednesday evening were top notch . Wiping and checking glasses before filling , courteous , knowledgeable and obviously experienced friendly customer oriented service staff with years of experience.
The bartender is set up for dining which is nice as other places this has not been my experience.
Food, as is the norm now, is pricey and with that my expectations on the plate rise to the occasion.
Our special appetizer of grilled octopus was a good , not great , example of trying to compete with the local upscale Mexican establishment around the corner .
My personal pizza was excellent with a crispy crust and great tomatoes , advertised as San Marzano, Seasoned well and I would definitely order it again.
The Duck breast special was also good , but not a memorable event either , I felt it was overpriced but others may see it as a different experience- like I said good, not great. We would likely not order it again. Overall the restaurant is a real gem as far as service and atmosphere but last time we ate here it was noticeably better, perhaps we chose better menu items. Will definitely come back for another try , if just for the bar experience and try some other plates . Donāt get me wrong this place has potential to soar above the competition locally and we look forward to try some more of the food . Management is very present during service which is a big plus in my book having spent 17 years in the food business. Bathrooms are pristine so I assume back of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI brought my girlfriend here for our anniversary. The staff were very kind from the moment we walked in, inquiring and congratulating us on our celebration. For drinks, she enjoyed the popular Lavender-Basil āSpritzā and I had the Dalia Pinot Grigio, which had just the perfect light touch of sweetness I was looking for. In ordering our appetizer and entrĆ©es, they were very accommodating to my non-dairy dietary needs. Being born and raised in an Italian family, there were no shortage of authentic and exquisite Italian cuisine here. From the specials to the food listed on the menu, there were so many great options to choose from! We shared the Clams Oreganata which were cooked perfectly and delicious. I usually only have 1 or 2 clams at other places, I wound up having 7 out of the 14 they gave. For our main dishes, she ordered Linguini Carbonara, which she wound up taking home because it was too filling, but I wiped my plate clean of the Pan Roasted Halibut. The menu online says it comes with more fishes (clams and mussels) but the in-restaurant menu listed more vegetables (zucchini) which I enjoyed more! I kept commenting to my girlfriend on the elegant and cozy atmosphere. Itās clear to see after how packed the restaurant was, Elaineās isnāt moving anytime soon. Everything was perfect and we will definitely...
