Stop & Shop — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

Wish I could give ZERO stars, I would. I go to my local stop and shop all the time. The cashier, a female, today was EXTREMELY rude and was too busy talking to a coworker about a fill in for her nails then to acknowledge me . I had a ton of groceries and was not even asked about a bag or if I needed help. It was like I didn't exist. I asked a question if something was rung up twice and was met with a rude and dismissive attitude- and the continuation of talking about her nails.

You are in customer service-- if you see that the customer you're ringing up has tons of groceries, at least offer to help rather then to keep on talking with your coworker and treat customers as if they are shit on your shoe. The manager, Justin?, said that he would be talking to the cashier about this incident today--

Also, this is not the first incident at this stop and shop with one of the female cashiers. The other incident involved a cashier talking about my child and asking if they wear glasses due to their lazy eye and talking about my child's condition in front of then, making them feel self conscious. I let that incident go-- which was extremely uncalled for.

Teach your staff to not be garbage...

With all the money they spend remodel that supermarket, the deli works are still slow no more where you order from the app or in person, I ordered cold cuts on the app so it will be ready when I get there, nope the guy said he knew nothing about the app and he still was slow, does not matter whos working at the deli they slow period. The bakey is amazing if the tall guy is there, the older looking lady thay wears to french braids sometimes you could be staying there and won't say nothing unless you do.

Pharmacy the should not have 3 people working there and they never have medications ready.

The cashier specially the front end works They all ways have an actitud, specially the ones the do self pay when go to help you they look at you like dumb not all here like that theirs only 5 people can take off the list that are very nice and helpful.

Why works are allowed to use their phone? The main reason why they are rude and slow is because half of the works be on their phone listening to music or talking. I understand some works need it for the app but they should have a decive for that not...

Decent market with competitive pricing. Produce and deli departments are adequate. Always friendly and helpful staff. My one gripe and it costs the market a 4 star rating: I have been a part time and now full time resident of the East Setauket community in total for over 30 yrs. I have seen the gradual shift in the ethnicities represented in the community. Yes, still predominantly upper class Caucasian but much less strictly vanilla than it was 20 or even 15 years ago. Ethnicities like myself are residents. Employers. Investors. Owners. We are a growing and thriving part of the community. So my respectful suggestion to the store manager is this- it is way past time that the products offered reflect the needs of your clientele. My goodness, this is the definition of a suitable international food dept? Not even Goya products in the freezer aisle? I can't even buy a box of microwavable plantains????? In this day and age, inconceivable. Stop making us drive 8 miles out of the way into Port Jeff for these items. Just my observations for...
