Domo — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Yuck, yuck, yuck.

When I first went into Domo, I smelled something distinctly fishy and off. I decided to not to ask about it as I thought perhaps the trash wasn't taken out or something. When we were sat, the smell still didn't go away. I asked the server, or owner maybe, if we could move somewhere else but she looked really, really mad and asked what was wrong. I just explained there was something off with the smell near the table and she didn't say anything and grabbed our menus and made us sat all the way in the corner. Okay...

Then, when it was time to order I ordered the Sashimi dinner and my friend had the Filet Mignon. The food was relatively quick but I would expect the food to be good! Before our entrees came, they gave us miso soup and salad. The soup was really watery and really didn't taste like anything except hot water with a bit of dashi stock. Sashimi was on ice and it made the fish really watery. I can't really explain it. I had sashimi elsewhere down the road and it was great but here it felt as though as the ice melted and made the fish taste watery. My friend's filet mignon was really tough. He ordered it rare and it came out medium well. It was barely edible and the sauce was flavourless. He said that the meat might not even be filet mignon.

When it came time for the check, I had my 15% off coupon out. She took it and gave me the check. NO DISCOUNT! I asked her about it and she said "I threw it out.". She gave me a new check without apology and glared at me. Over $40 for a two. I know Japanese restaurant are not cheap but I felt ripped off.

Never coming back again....

Domo Sushi is our regular place to get delicious fresh and fast sushi. I go there twice a week because I'm a big sushi lover. I always ordered the east Setauket and it comes with a big lobster claw and 8 large pieces of sushi, the ramen soup broth only which is the most delicious best soup I ever tried, and then lastly I get an avocado roll and Kobe beef. The avocado roll is always ripe and tasty never hard and tough like the other places I've tried and the Kobe beef will change your life. It magical, its spicy then has a beef flavor. I gasped when I first tried it. LOL. Been there since they started and the staff is always so nice and funny. They always give me free stuff, they gave me these awesome incredible cute taco stuffed with spicy salmon or tuna. Yum. Try it and you won't regret it. They are also very safe with doctor masks and thick gloves. They provide ample hand-sanitizer and sope. I'm literally drooling when writing this review, and now I'm going to dine in with my bae. Don't forgot to try the multicultural amazing...

I went here last night and I don’t regret it at all. This place is a gem hidden in east setauket. I came here with my boyfriend and we had sushi and sashimi for 2. He got the soup and I got the salad. The dressing on the salad was very tangy and delicious and soup was very flavorful with soft tofu, thinly sliced scallions and seaweed. The su and sa for 2 came on a platter and the presentation is just wow-beautiful. The fish was so fresh and delicious. The tuna and salmon just melted in your mouth and the rolls that came with it your so good. Ours came with the Donna and sp titanic roll. The avocado with the hot crunchy shrimp temperature in the Donna just was perfect. The so titanic roll was my favorite. The price was for the platter was pretty cheap compared to other restaurants and the quality. After we got green tea fried ice cream. The ice cream was so creamy and rich and the crunchy shell was perfect for the richness of the ice cream. We will...
