Friendly's — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Server's attitude was absolutely appalling! Came in on 4/24/2025 around 6:30. Took an unusual amount of time to seat us but ok we were seated. Server came over and took our drink and food order. Drinks came out food shortly after. Minor mix up with our order no big deal. As we were coming to an end we asked for happy ending sundaes to go. We waited a long time for our bill to come and it took an extremely long time for her to bring our sundaes. When she came back with our change she literally put it on the table without stopping and kept walking. She didn't give me a chance to say thank you here's your tip. I waited a minute to see if I can see her and decided to go wait at the hostess podium. It again took an unusual amount of time before I was acknowledged. I ask one server if I could see my server so I could tip her. She continued to do whatever she was doing. Another server came out from the back and I asked to see my server and that I wanted to tip her. She said just leave it on the table with an attitude.I said I really do not feel comfortable leaving cash on the table. My server finally came out I had said to her I tried to tip you but you ran away from my table. She said I had to go put in drink orders with a sarcastic attitude. Me being very annoyed with her response and me being extremely patient with the way the entire visit went I said I should have left you nothing as I was leaving through the vestibule door. She then proceeded to follow me Chuck the money at me through the vestibule door while my dinner companion tried to keep her from coming any closer to me due to the fact my dinner companion wasn't sure if she was going to become aggressive. She then proceeded to go into the dining area where multiple families with toddlers and other young children were sitting and was insulting me out loud as I was leaving through the main front door. I will be sure to make sure all of my friends and family members are aware of this situation and I would highly suggest to them too never come to...

Well I came in with the girls lacrosse team tonight asked If I could be seated away from them as giving my daughter some room to hang out with her team. I stood at the front stand as another team came in behind me. Immediately they were seated by the server and I was still standing. I then asked the manager (who is usually a server)if someone was seating me? She then proceeded to tell me I could seat myself. I then asked her well can I have a menu and utensils please. Shame I had to seat myself snd ask for these things. Now I'm seated here 10 mins no one came to check to see if I was ready to order a drink or anything. A waitress with glasses heaveyset short hair walked right passed me twice. Still seated with no drink order put in a couple comes in. The waitress that walked passed me twice went right to them and asked if she could get them anything to drink right away. I then had to get up to find someone to even be my waitress. Nice waitress came to me named Melanie and finally my drink order was taking. I sat for another 15mins as I watched others come in and get their orders right away. Finally!! my turn to order. Ordered my food sat around for another 10mins watching tons of couples coming in later than me getting their meals and drinks. I only ordered a Philly and fries. I literally walked around and was the last person to recieve their food after being one of the 1st people there. I have been boycotting Friendly's since the teens workers were caught having sex right on the tables and booth a few years back!! I felt very uncomfortable being a black woman at this Friendly's. Oh god where to start , we ordered take out and got there 10 minutes after calling . Looked at our food and had burnt bacon on the burger , a burnt bun on my sandwich , the clams felt completely undercooked they were so mushy , the lemon that’s supposed to be on the side for clams they put it inside the box so the lemon was so hot it was basically melted and was nasty you’re supposed to put the lemon in a little container like the ketchup . Besides all of this the portions are x2 smaller when you order take out vs sitting there and eating but I’m still paying the same amount . I’m still paying $35 for s**t , garbage food that I refused to even feed to my dog . We called back and told them everything and they made our food the next day and still completely screwed it up the burger was plain just cheese and add bacon which I paid for the extra bacon and they gave it to us with lettuce tomato and condiments on it and NO bacon , the bun on the sandwich was still burnt and the clams were still soggy . TAKE NOTE when they made our food the second time we were in the car on our way there calling them for 10 mins and they didn’t answer when we finally got there the manager was outside on his cell phone talking and all the employees were sitting at tables eating so we ended up having to re order when we got there which means nothing should be mushy or nasty and they still failed . Just take your money and go to Applebee’s across the street at least they never make bad food . I guess if you don’t mind you or your children eating garbage...
