Lake Grove Delicatessen — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I've been coming here for years. The food is good and the only reason I return, because it's certainly not for the customer service. It's almost always an issue trying to order both over the phone and in person. I'm finally over this place after calling in an order, getting there and giving them my name, only to be told to wait on line with everyone ordering in person. Just to find when I get to the register that my order had been finished and sitting to the side. So I got to pay $17 for 2 cold egg sandwiches...If you can't accommodate called in orders or know how to handle them then don't... I'll drive further out of my way to get better service, somewhere...

While I’ve always been a fan of the deli my last two visits have turned me away. Lady with dark brown hair was down right rude when taking order walking away from me into the kitchen before I could even finish one of my two orders. Didn’t really listen because I had to explain what was on the orders again after she was done cooking it. And again today ordered and came home with a sandwich with mustard and mayo on it when I only asked for mayo oh and didn’t put the cheese or tomato on it. Sorry, to say I won’t be coming back. And the last experience I was the only person in the store so no excuses for...

Been living in the area for 10 years and i hadnt been to this deli in a few years but remembered the food was always good.
