I'm going to ask you to go on a journey with me. Before I even came to the restaurant I tried calling ahead where I was put on hold immediately. I waited for 15 minutes on hold until I finally hung up. That was a small taste of the incompetence that was to come.
I arrived at 320pm. There are about 4 people in the restaurant. I order 2 smoothies and 2 sandwiches. My sandwiches come out promptly and correct. Then I wait. Oh, how I wait. After a half hour some other other customers realize I've been waiting for some time for the 2 smoothies. They begin, unprompted, to ask what I am waiting for. During this wait time, dozens of smoothies come out of the kitchen to be placed on the online order waiting table or put in the fridge. One girl tells me that the smoothies are in the blender and apologizes. No problem.
Another 20 minutes go by and now the food is ice cold. I politely ask to remake the sandwiches as I am still waiting on the smoothies. She gives me a look and begins to say she can't do that. Before I could interject, another female customer began rudely yelling at the girl to remake my food. At this point, many customers are chiming in. They all seem to want Tropical Smoothie to remake my food without delay. Mind you, I am STILL waiting on my smoothies.
They agree to remake my food. At this point an employee walks out into the main area and loudly exclaims that "They are children, y'all mother's need to calm down. Calm the hell down!" as she is walking out the door. This sets off a chain reaction of various customers screaming at each other about whether the so called "children" working there should be held to the same standard as a qualified working adult.
I abstain from any conversation as I am STILL waiting on my food and smoothies. At this point another girl, comes out and PERSONALLY takes my order. I am waiting for over an hour at this point. Other customers are still angrily yelling at each other. My smoothies come, however they are incorrect. The young girl begins to protest, but reads the room and takes it back. My food comes, again. I don't check it again, as I had this girl personally take the order down and ensure it was correct.
And the final smoothie comes out! I'm home free even as the restaurant explodes with angry customers screwing wild obscenities at each other at the top of their lungs while the completely inept manager does nothing. I happily leave, only to come to the realization that my sandwich is incorrect.
I go back into Tropical Smoothie, where the angry yelling continues and catch the eye of the manager. I explain the sandwich is incorrect and she hastily takes it to remake it for a third time. After telling her my order over all the yelling, I get my sandwich again after another 6 or so minute wait. I go back to the car and find that it is again the completely wrong sandwich. At this point I simply don't want to go back. I begrudgingly eat a cold, incorrect sandwich. The other sandwich? Also wrong. My wife eats that one.
I have been to many places, during the pandemic, that employ teenagers and also have online orders coming in and I have NEVER seen such disarray. No one had any sense of direction or urgency. I heard my order called out multiple times by several different people throughout the entire ordeal. There was no quality check, others also had gotten wrong items and missing items. The manager came out only once the entire restaurant was in a frenzy and one small teenage girl seemed to be the only one that knew anything despite being woefully overwhelmed.
I was never offered anything of compensation for my time, nor a refund, not so much as a coupon for the insanity endured and the order was still completely wrong! This was during their "Happy Hour" peak business time so you would expect the staff to be well trained and prepared.
All of this stems from a terrible, out of their depth, unfit leader. The manager had a dazed, deer on the headlights look, that then extended to the young staff. The manager...
Read moreI use the app mostly when placing my order to skip the enormous line that's regularly in there at my time of arrival. Every time I get there my order is no where to be found. I have to get in line, replace my order, and wait yet again. My order is always messed up. What's the point? I still question why I go there because each time is a negative experience. I'm done going to this location!
My wife usually goes before work, and she never has a pleasant experience there as well. Her complaints are similar to mine. Smoothies taste like water, no flavor, and the wraps taste like crap.
There has been countless times the girls working the cash registers walk away leaving the draws wide open, and are more concerned about giggling with their friends. This is mainly at the Patchogue location. If more time is actually spent doing their jobs less orders will be screwed up, and customers like myself would not be sitting here writing such negative reviews.
I'm sick and tired of getting smoothies that have no flavor, sugar when I order them without, the list can go on and on. Who ever is making smoothies at this location sucks at it. I started going to Centereach for my smoothies. This was the original store I used to go to, but switch since this was closer to my house. Haven't had any issues there as of yet.

Read moreWe usually come here often, after workouts we come to get a smoothie and a healthy wrap or flatbread. Everytime we go it seems like something is wrong, the staff is short or they are goofing around while busy. It’s usually like a 15 min wait for your smoothie and your food. Today was just terrible.
The floors were disgusting, the tables weren’t cleaned and guests had to clean off their own tables. It wasn’t a few crumbs, it was trash from people not throwing it away. We waited 30 minutes and the people that ordered way past us got their food and smoothies before us. We went up and they finally handed us our smoothies. But they weren’t blended right, it had clumps of ice and fruit not all the way blended. I can barely drink it, I bit into a chunk of either fat burner or vitamin B12 I added to the smoothie and it tasted like I took a bite out of some strong medicine mixed with some hot sauce.
Our food comes out 40 minutes later. It’s a wrap and a club… it’s not even busy. 40 minutes for my meal and drinks that aren’t even drinkable. On top of that the banana they gave us was beat to hell and back. So bruised we had to chop off half of the banana to eat it.
The energy bar is where I’ll be going from now on. They are healthier with fresh products. They make sure they are doing everything right, in a respectable amount of time too. Our family won’t be going...
