Update I just want to also specify that they DID charge me for scallion cream cheese on my bagel, but they completely forgot to put it in my bagel. Besides the other fact that they did not put onions and did not charge me for the onions since they did not hear me say the onions part. That is my fault for not being clear about wanting onions on my bagel.
Me being charged for something they forgot to put in my bagel is why I wrote this review. If it was just about the 1 item they never charged me for, I wouldn't have written a review in the first place. I appreciate the owner responding to my review, but they totally ignored my main concern that I wrote twice in my long review, which is why I decided to update my review to clarify my concerns.
Original post: I have been going to this bagel shop for a couple of years already and I really love their bagels. The only problem I have with them is that I've had my order wrong multiple times already. Maybe it's my fault that they didn't hear me say something, but I swear I do say it and see it being written down. However, today was really upsetting because I came in when it wasn't busy and ordered my toasted poppy seed bagel with scallion cream cheese and lox with onions on them, a large home fries order, and a small bottle of coke. I only got my toasted poppy seed bagel with just lox, my home fries, and drink. I had to go back because I paid almost $20 dollars, so I know I most likely got charged for the cream cheese. I went back to the counter and ended up feeling bad because they didn't hear me say onions but didn't address the cream cheese portion. They fixed it and gave it to me, but because I feel bad, I questioned the counter person who worked on my order about what I paid for in the first place. It turns out, I only didn't pay for the onions which I asked if I could pay for that and she said no its okay.
I don't always go back in to ask my order to be fixed since usually I already left the store, but when I do, I just end up feeling like maybe it's all my fault that it's wrong, that I didn't state what I wanted. But that's why I wanted to know what I paid this time. I just don't understand how they forgot the cream cheese in my bagel, especially if they knew what they charged me. I understand the onion part because they said they didn't hear me, so maybe I didn't say it and didn't remember that, so that is my fault.
So because of this experience, I just am very upset because I always come back even if my order isn't right, but with today's experience, I don't think I will because it's happened multiple times already. I understand that things can get super busy, because I've been to this store when it's been really hectic which is understandable if my order maybe gets messed up. But, it wasn't even busy when I went in today, so that's why I'm quite upset.
I am glad that the person who took my order did fix my order, specified that she didn't hear me say onions, and help me clarify what I paid for. The food is always tasting great, but I am still upset over...
Read moreVERY DISAPPOINTED. My fiancé called in our order and reads my order the same way on the phone any time we order from any bagel store. An egg everything bagel lightly toasted with very little cream cheese and two pieces of bacon. I get to the store 15 minutes after the call was made and it was pretty busy so I understand a little bit of a wait. I waited 10 minutes in the store and so after a total of 25 minutes to complete a 1 bagel and 1 breakfast sandwhich order I would have liked our orders to atleast be correct. My bagel was made way ahead of time so it didn’t even matter that I asked for toasted at that point and when my fiancés breakfast sandwich was finally ready they didn’t even call the right name when I went up to the counter. I got home and my bagel was LOADED with cream cheese to the point you can barely see the bacon. The bacon was soaked in cream cheese I could barely even taste the bacon. I literally had to scrape off the cream cheese to even try to enjoy eating my bagel. And if that wasn’t already disappointing enough my fiancés sandwhich had no hot sauce on it like he had asked for. For almost $14 and a 25 minute wait for two things I’d atleast like it to be correct. Please listen to your customers over the phone when they are ordering and make it the way...
Read moreUpdate: since leaving my last review 5 months ago, the store has definitely turned around. We have been back and our orders have been correct everytime. Food is great and the workers are polite & helpful. Thank you for making these changes!
Old review: This was a regular place my family would visit when it was previously Strathmore bagels. The food tastes good and portion sizes are reasonable. When the new owners took over, they were very busy as everyone in town was checking the place out. This resulted in wrong orders, long waits and disorganization. It was understood that with any new business comes a surplus in customers and we stayed true to visiting this bagel shop. However, since then everytime my family orders from this shop- our order is either wrong or there is something missing from our order. This isn't a one time thing and we've tried to overlook it because we do love their food but it becomes a problem everytime we order. If we don't open every single sandwich in the shop...we go home with something wrong or a missing item. We love their food and if they could fix this issue we would return..but at this point it's becoming unworthy...
