Davidson's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Busti

UPDATE

So we decided to try again, got seated, and waited about 10 minutes or so. It literally took another waitress to come over and ask our drinks, proceeding to tell us that she's, "Looking for our waitress." I didn't realize waitress disappearances were common at Davidson's? Eventually, our waitress came and took our order. My girlfriend ordered a side salad with raspberry vinegarette. She brought her a... broccoli and cheddar soup? Took forever for her to some back and correct it. She does, brings a salad, with RANCH! Not raspberry vinegarette. It felt like we were in a prank show, or something. Never seen her again. We literally had to ask another waitress for our check. The whole thing was just a goofy and unnecessarily frustrating adventure. Good luck people.

We were planning to eat here, so we seated ourselves and waited. The waitresses watched us sit, and we were expecting to get waited on. Instead, we waited roughly ten minutes or so, and another family sits down just two booths down from us, and they were waited on immediately. That isn't necessarily what I'd call service... We eat at Davidson’s everytime we are in Jamestown. Today we ate there and there was a hair in my son in law’s fries. We noticed it as soon as the waitress set his plate down. I called her over and showed it to her, she took it back and said they were making him a new plate. I ordered a Hamburger and fries and the very thought of the hair made my stomach turn. I didn’t even finish. Waitress came back to the table and asked if I was done. I said yes and she said are you full? Ummm no disgusted to say the very least. My son in law ate his fresh sandwich and didn’t touch the fries. Our bill came and all 3 meals were on it and we had no problem paying but my thing is this: offer to at least take something off the bill. Either his meal or even mine which was 1/4 eaten and was cheaper than my daughters and his. That wasn’t offered . He didn’t touch his fries. So we payed for a chicken sandwich, a bite of a burger and my daughter’s meal. The waitress was still tipped very well because it wasn’t her fault. Like I said we love it there and go there everytime we are in the Jamestown area, you would think they would have taken something...

I’m so disappointed by our visit to Davidsons. I’ve been going there since I was a kid(Now 46). I’ve moved away and this is always one of the restaurants on my bucket list of places to eat when I come home. Food was always so delicious with good portions. I alway get the same thing, their fried chicken and fries. The portions this time were ridiculously small especially for the price since their prices have gone up (just like everyone else’s). I asked the waitress if their sizes of their food shrunk and she said no, it was because I ordered dark meat. I assure you, that wasn’t the reason. I always order dark meat and it was never this pitiful of a portion. I hate to complain about this but I’m mentioning it because if this is their new standard in the quality and quantity of food they serve for the price then Davidsons days will be numbered. I don’t want the place that I have gone to for years to be a thing of the past. I’ve been told it’s under new management and these are their new standards of servings.
