Arianny's Casa Mexican. Catskill N.Y. we ordered grilled pork chop w/ refried beans,rice ,very disappointing everything was bland,pork chops was extremely dry. Grilled snapper was overcooked and dry,too salty, also beef tacos was bland ,tortilla was overcooked. Loaded nachos with beef were good,nice flavor ,guacamole had nice flavor. Overall I was extremely disappointed, I expected excellence, and Mexican spices which was not present in the rice etc also Chipotle sauce was too salty and grainy (need to blend to smooth texture) today was a total miss,the chef has to taste their sauces for seasoning balance etc there has to be more care in the dishes before serving ,customer in general are foodies,people travel a distance if you have a product that loved etc Mexican cuisine are defined by their sauces and chiles,Adobe or adobados,pipians and moles ,Chipotle smoked flavor etc I expected this but never tasted...

I had dinner at Ariannys Casa Grande Mexican restaurant in Catskill, It was great to finally find an authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. The food surpassed my expectations, with outstanding flavors and generous portions. Despite how busy they were, we were seated promptly thanks to the friendly hostess. Our server, Francisco, provided excellent recommendations. We started with freshly made chips and homemade salsa, followed by a delicious fresh ceviche appetizer. The steak fajitas were a highlight of the meal, served on a skillet sizzling hot and cooked perfectly. we also had the marinated steak in a tasty homemade sauce. The drink menu was impressive, and Francisco's recommendation of the Flan for dessert was spot-on. The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting, I will definitely be returning to...

I tried the appetizer platter so I could get a feel for a few different things at once, and wasn't impressed.

The empanadas weren't crispy or flavorful and came out covered in refried beans, the chimichanga had no cheese to speak of, and the tacos were blah as well.

From a service perspective I asked for extra cheese on my elote, didn't get it. I asked for a substitution on the platter, which the manager approved, and didn't get it until I reminded the waiter that it had been approved while he'd been standing right there. He still acted like he didn't understand what I meant, but finally brought it out towards the end of my meal. We also weren't asked if we wanted any refills on our drinks.

All in all, I'd rather drive farther to go to Mi Rancho Alegre in Hudson. Their service and food has never...
