I love this place and I'm ashamed I don't go as often because it's right around the corner however the owners who run the place are great down to earth real people who love what they do. They've been at it for about 27 yrs so this review is only but a drop in their ocean of great food and service, which is very much still alive today.
They even gave us some beautiful delicious tomatoes to take home.
The food was something like a symphony of flavors playing a beautiful medley, the way all the flavors came together to make you make that face. You know the one I'm talking about.. eyes closed head back followed by an OMG đ yea.. that kind of good. Their hibiscus tea is my favorite bev from them, iced or hot. I haven't had a bad experience there and I doubt I will given they have Nana in there still putting her magic touch in the kitchen. I love this place always consistently good and family owned and operated highly recommend stopping...
Read moreMy family stopped at Wasana's for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the solid Thai food served in what appears to be a family run restaurant. INTERIOR: very simple, no-nonsense, but clean interior FOOD: All the dishes we ordered were solid-good Khow Pad fried rice, Pad Thai with shrimp, Pad Pringkhing, Gang Kie Wan (green curry), and Pad Talay with seafood. The dishes are reasonably spicy for Asian tastes so please ask for milder if you are sensitive to spice. Some dishes are on the saltier side. Main curry and sauce dishes come with jasmine rice and you can request substitution with brown rice. SERVICE: our service was excellent, attentive, and far superior to what we experienced the night before at a restaurant that cost 5 times as much (Deer Mountain Inn). LOCATION: the restaurant is on Main Street in the pleasant main downtown area of Catskill. There are many shops and boutiques along this very walkable...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place but sadly it was very disappointing. I will say the staff is very accommodating and patient, so that I would say makes up for the negatives if you wish to explore thai cuisine
When picking up take out I noticed people working the cooking line were not wearing masks (despite several restaurants on Main Street having shut down due to COVID scares in the last month)
The only part of our order that was tasty was the roasted duck but the rest of the food lacked flavor
Several options were ordered so to be let down with more than one entree was upsetting
In reading other reviews I was surprised to hear about the comparison to Elmhurst, Queens which has incredible Thai food. My experience didnât match the quality of Elmhurst which I...
