I was born & raised on Long Island, so since moving upstate there's been a bagel shaped hole in my heart that Wegmans & Bruegger's just couldn't fill.

Enter Cazenovia Bagel Co.

It's a near perfect bagel place that whole-heatedly fulfills my downstate bagel needs. Lox & schmear on an everything, coffee black. Yes, please & thank you.

You're not going to find a more authentic bagel in central New York. Although speaking of authenticism, the selection lacks both salt and egg bagels (easily forgiven, just get an Everything).

Super helpful staff and friendly owners. Gluten-free and vegan options. Great coffee from Recess. High chairs are available.

It can get quite busy, but more often than not you can get a table.

The new owner Dawn has single handedly ruined this business that was an amazing establishment. Since her ownership she has fired employees for ZERO reasons via text STATING "Thank you for being willing to work with me but I am letting you go!", while the rest quit immediately due to her abusive behaviors towards them and her blatant disrespect to the customers. Dawn has replaced the well established quality ingredients (local included) for a much more processed and lower quality. The butter that was used for a bagel that I bought a week ago was completely rancid and needed to be remade without butter. She uses her UNGLOVED hand to reach into the food containers and touches the customers food...

There has definitely been a lack in the service and quality of food at Caz bagel. This use to be my favorite breakfast spot, and now I question weather I want to go there or McDonald's. It seems whenever I order online, I show up to pick it up and noone seems to have ever saw my order even though I get email confirmation; and on the other hand if my order is ready it usually isn't even correct, or the bagel isn't cooked.
