Headline: Avoid this practice like the plague!
My family were patients with this practice under Dr. Fauth for nearly 30 years. I can't say that we always loved Dr. Fauth's work or extravagant remodeling choices, but he was competent and caring (and Marty, his office manager, was always a joy.) When Dr. Moses took over, we noticed much more frequent changes of staff and last-minute cancellations, but we stayed on for a while for convenience of location. However, EVERY interaction with Dr. Moses was awful. At first we thought that perhaps it was just her manner--brusque, uncommunicative, and detached--but we chalked it up to personal style and tolerated it for the office's proximity to home. But when the time came for a few minor procedures, more than one family member had to return several times to fix sloppy work and poor fittings. She also pushed hard and repeatedly to upsell premium services that we stated firmly that we did not want or need.
The final straw came when yet another hygienist left and they were so understaffed that Dr. Moses had to do my cleaning. I am not generally bothered by dental work at all, but she was so rough and so sloppy -- pulling and poking hard, and literally flicking water and paste all over my face and neck --that I had to ask for several breaks just to mop myself off. She did nothing to change her approach and the assistant apologized after she left the room. I literally needed to go home to wash up and change my clothes when I was done it was such and awful job. My daughter was due for her cleaning later that day, but the experience was so bad that I immediately cancelled the appointment and asked for our records so we could move to another practice.
I hope Dr. Moses will consider further training to address these issues. She may very well be skilled in certain aspects of the work, but her communication skills, chairside manner, and basic handling of human tissue and office tools is absolutely atrocious. If that was my only experience of dentistry I doubt I would ever seek dental care again.
Happily, Manlius Dental Care was accepting new patients and we are beyond thrilled with every aspect if their management and care. I cannot recommend...
Read moreI love the Cazenovia Dental experience. I didn't take good care of my teeth as a child or young adult, and as a result I have many fillings. Before I became a patient of Dr. Fauth, I had a lot of anxiety about seeing a dentist.
The office is immaculate and designed with patients’ comfort in mind. Kids are accommodated with games, a mini-movie theater, and other activities, while adults appreciate the relaxed environment that suggests sailing in the tropics. Most of the appointment rooms have huge windows where you can look out at the changing seasons across the corn fields, hills, and woodlands.
Technology - while never intrusive - is a big part of the appeal to me. Flat-panel televisions at every chair aren't just a nice distraction – the view from an in-mouth camera can be displayed right on the monitor. Appointment scheduling and billing are all handled by computer, seamlessly.
Of course the most important things are the results and the staff. I've had many years of regular cleanings from Dr. Fauth and his staff, plus more than my share of additional procedures to patch up those ancient fillings and keep everything else in shape. Each time, I've walked away thinking, "That was it?" The staff are always friendly, patient, focused, and caring. Dr. Fauth’s talent, competence, gentle manner, and commitment to his practice are the reasons I...
Read moreI wish I read the reviews before going to this dentist office. I would never recommend going to this practice. They demanded I had work done and filling and paid a lot of money out of pocket for myself and my daughter who’s 15. To now have terrible teeth pain. I’ve NEVER had issues with my teeth or pain.. and I have constant teeth not tooth bc it’s all the ones she claimed to fix. Very frustrating. Because now I have to find a new dentist and my insurance only covers one xray. And wasted it on this company. I now have to go to another company and pay out of pocket for X-rays. Moses is very unprofessional. Barley speaks to her patients and is very rough. I had to go back to have the fillings she placed adjusted because they were thick and could barely eat food. I wish I never trusted this practice, because now I struggle to eat food and even floss and brush my teeth. I should sue this company for suffering. Never expected to experience a so called professional to treat myself and my daughter badly and lie about treatment needed and fail to do it right. My bite is not the same, my teeth are uneven now, I can feel the filling on the outside of my tooth. I will update once I get into the new dentist. I’m so worried she messed up my teeth so bad that they will need to do an extensive work. I’m just in so much pain. I’m terrified to know...
