The waitress, older woman, was wonderful, super sweet and fast with coffee, food was good, very expensive, $43.97 for 2people eating a basic breakfast, other than toast ($3)that was soggy with margarine that tasted off and I didn’t eat. The bad part and reason we won’t return was the extremely rude owner’s daughter in law that purposely made us wait over 20mins to pay our bill. We didn’t know until after we were seated and given coffee that they only take cash which neither of us had but were told we could pay the daughter in law, Victoria, by Venmo which was fine. We ate our meal and the waitress told us Tori would be right over to take our payment. Instead she went to the table near use and chatted with the customer for over ten minutes, then went a talked to another table of people she seemed to know, cashed out a different table and then started serving a new table that was just seated, all while giving us looks across the room. I heard our waitress go to her 3 separate times asking her to check us out and that we were first time customers and she wanted us to have a good impression. Tori still didn’t come until after 20mins and when she did come she acted like we were inconveniencing her and extremely impatient, no smile or thank what so ever. She was off putting and rude. Given the large selection of restaurants with better food that take cards and have amazing service, we will not be returning and will tell...
Read moreNOTE: THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CASH ONLY. Went here with some family for dinner. There was one server covering the restaurant, and only a couple tables had diners at them. The atmosphere is very plain, and the menu was diverse. We ordered three kinds of fish fry (battered, broiled, and breaded) and the only fish that had a decent sized portion was the battered. It also tasted freshest. Coffee refills always had to be prompted, but the service was friendly enough.
When it came time to pay the check, the server informed us it was cash only, and pointed to a tiny, seemingly hand-written sign behind the register. There was no signage on the door or menu indicating this. I had to leave my father and two nieces at the restaurant while I went to the nearby grocery store, as the restaurant also does not have an ATM. The server was unapologetic about this, and seemed to treat us as though we intended to dine and dash.
The quality of the food and service was not good enough to justify a return trip, but if I had cash, needed to eat, and was already in the parking lot, I'd probably just go to one of the many nearby restaurants that are more...
Read moreWe had picked this spot based on Google Reviews. With over four stars, we thought it would be a good option. All four of us were pretty disappointed. The service was not welcoming (no smile at the door, seemed confused about where we should sit when it was not busy). The food was mediocre (probably my least favorite pancakes I've had at a restaurant, but the omlete was pretty good). The environment was not enjoyable (very outdated, grandma-and-grandpa's kitchen style). Also, they do not accept credit or debit cards, so remember to bring cash to pay. The signage was not noticeable as we came in. I would not recommend this spot to others as a...
