Louie's Deli & Imports — Restaurant in Town of Clarence

First and last visit. Lunch was underwhelming. When you call yourself an Italian deli your meatballs better not taste like dog food and come on a soggy roll with rubbery half melted cheese. I ordered a salad that was standard with kens dressing - no qualms there. Ordered about $60 worth of cold cuts with my sit down lunch. Was assured it would be all set after I was finished eating. Finished eating and then stood at the counter for about another 25 minutes. It was lunch rush and super busy so I get it. When it came the weights were not correct (Over on the expensive imported prosciutto). I’ll tell ya. Places like guercios and joes deli really spoil ya. You don’t know until you go to a spot like this. You’d think dropping $90 on your first visit would afford you good service over the next guy getting a $12 sub. Will not be returning. Added a star because the sliced corned beef was delicious - a bit dry but good flavor. Maybe a bad batch. Just being...

I ordered lunch “to go” here today with a co-worker and this place has so much potential. The food was delicious. However, we will never be back because the customer service was atrocious! With it not being very busy, the service was extremely slow, when we finally got to the register to pay, the lady that intended to cash us out was extremely rude! We also witnessed her being very abrasive and loud with other customers. In short, I wanted a sub but they made me a sandwich (fine) - but she blamed me for not saying sub instead of the person taking my order asking me if I want the sub or sandwich. To worsen the situation, instead of taking my payment, she walked away from me and began to help another customer. I will say, the young gentleman that witnessed this was very polite when he came over and took our payment. The customer service needs a full revamp at this place. You’d be better off going to...

Came in expecting far more grocery than what they have and couldn’t find what I actually was looking for. Ended up getting a sandwich as it was lunch time anyways. Yikes. The bread was stale and rock hard, and the sandwich had NO LUBRICATION at all. Three measly slices of meat and one slice of cheese. One underripe slice of tomato. $10. I’m definitely a fan of frugal, but I’ll pay up when I really like something too. This was such a rip off. I could barely bite into the bread. Go to wegmans and get yourself a huge sub for $2 more. You’ll actually get meat and Mayo to boot!

Also tried one of their cannolis and it was underwhelming. Tasted sweeter than I expected and I didn’t like that the chocolate was mixed into filling. The shell also tasted a bit stale and was too skinny on the top. There should be more balance between filling and shell.
