Part 1: Chapter 1: Where it all began Today was like any other day, a late fall evening in NY, cold and blistery with a chance of high taxes. Why not Buffalo Wild Wings in Nanuet, a newly re-opened location that moved from the Palisades mall presumably due to insane lease costs and low foot traffic in the now almost defunct mega mall. My colleagues were reluctant to go again after an unfavorable visit last week that consisted of poor service, dirty tables and a bill as long as a CVS receipt. Taking their recent experience into consideration, we made the decision to part ways for the evening and I would later place a take out order for myself. Chapter 2: The order I get my confirmation that my order would be ready at 8:30, the earliest available time slot provided by the website. I had placed an order a few weeks back for my mother and myself before she left town, when arriving at the given order-ready time I had to wait an additional 15 minutes before I received my food. So this time around, I decided to take my time getting ready and headed out around 8:30 and the approximately ten minute drive added to that. I arrive around 8:50, a full twenty minutes after my order should have been done, only to find that my food was not ready I left around 9:00 and began my drive home Chapter 3: All bets are off After leaving around 9pm, im on my way home in my 94 Subaru jamming to some tunes. After my ten minute drive home I get inside only to open my bag and see I got traditional hot wings, and im not going to get into the traditional/boneless debate but I ordered boneless because I want more meat for my money, that’s the way it is and if you think otherwise, youre wrong. I looked at the near $30 bill on the bag so I chose the latter and hopped back into my 94 Subaru, fired up some metalcore and blasted off to the highway to return my food. Its now 9:15 and im back in the restaurant explaining I received the wrong food after waiting over an hour since the order was placed, waiting 20 minutes the prior time. The young man at the register took my food, apologized and went to the kitchen. He returned a few minutes later and said to keep the incorrect food (that I didn’t want) and i wouldn’t be charged (which I wouldn’t have paid for) and placed my supposedly correct 10pc honey bbq boneless into the bag for me. I said thanks and left as I just wanted to eat, I again flew home listening to some new jams to calm my nerves. Upon getting settled back at home,I opened my food only to find that once again, it was incorrect, I received boneless hot bbq. To make matters worse my remaining food, that should have been given to me fresh with the new wings, was now cold. Cold fries, cold fried pickles and a now water-logged fountain Mt.Dew. At this point my blood was boiling that ive wasted over an hour and a half dealing with a simple order of wings, venting to my co-workers about my decision to fly solo to BWW and dealing with the self-inflicted anger of not checking my food after multiple mishaps, I made the call to just eat the food I didn’t want. I made it about halfway through the wings, even less progress on the cold fries and pickles. To add insult to injury I couldn’t even wash it down with a crisp Mt.Dew because that had as much water in it as the firewood my dad keeps buying from the guy down the road. Luckily I had an unopened Brisk half and half that I picked up earlier in the day from a questionable bodega across town. In the end, Im out of my food, my gas, my money, even my hopes and dreams. All I can recommend to anyone looking for a simple order of wings, is to look elsewhere. Bubbakoos is the new game in town, and the wings are good. In fact pretty much everything there is good and their staff at the new Pearl River location are quite enthusiastic and its always a good experience to go there, so I guess that’s where ill be going from now on, and everyone else should...
Read moreIf I could give them 0 stars I would. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I genuinely used to love Buffalo wild wings one of my favorite places to visit. This location is slow, unprofessional and always a let down. I first went to this location when it opened up to order take out which understandably it was busy. There ofcourse was no one up front to take my order I waited 10 minutes to put in my order. Then I waited 45 minutes for two orders of wings and fries, and of course I checked my order right away and the fries were ice cold. I decided not to make a big deal because I understood the location was new and busy. The second time I decided to give this place a try I tried ordering online for pick up would not let me. So I went in to order, again no one at the front to take my order and it was not busy!! I put my order in and waited after 30 minutes I asked and I was told they could not find my order. About three minutes later a different customer walked in with my order and the employee handed it to me. I told them I would not take an order that someone had already taken out the store with them! That is unacceptable, I used to be a manager in a restaurant never would we do that. Of course when I asked for a new order I got an attitude. The employee went to the back came back out 5 minutes later with my order. I checked it right away everything was cold. Which means they gave me the same exact order. I was so upset I just left and threw out the food . Against my better judgment I went back a third time, because my sister really was craving buffalo wild wings. Restaurant was empty except for maybe 6 tables and ofcourse no one was at the front. When I ordered I specifically ordered ALL FLATS and 2 sauces and fries. Ofcourse I was charged extra for my order of ALL FLATS which I knew and I was completely okay with. My order took about 30 minutes. When I walked out my fries were ice cold to no surprise. When I reached home I did not get all flats, which I paid for, I also did not even get the right sauces I asked for. Again a complete disappointment. This place needs new management, better employees, more organization it is just a mess. Will never go back here. And at this point may never go back to a Buffalo Wild Wings. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR...
Read moreThe food quality is as expected for this type of restaurant, but the service is inconsistent, which I guess should also be expected for a restaurant in the mall. I've gone several times with my kids when we're at the mall. Last time I went, we stood at the front confused for quite a few minutes (between 5 and 8) before we even saw an employee who came and asked with visible apathy whether we were being helped. Our waitress looked pissed off as she dragged herself through the script to take our orders. I ordered 20 wings, dry buffalo seasoning, plus appetizers, sides, and a beer. I asked about the happy hour special for beer, and she said that doesn't start til 4. I looked at the time after she walked away and it was 357. So when I saw her again, I pointed out that it was after 4 and asked if they could just give me the happy hour discount, especially bc I hadn't gotten the beer yet. she said they can't because it was before 4 when I ordered. I asked her to cancel the order then so I could order it after 4. she looked exasperated and said she can't do that either without her supervisor approving it. I asked if there was a supervisor available. she went to talk to him and they gave a discount.
when the wings arrived I immediately noticed they looked, felt, and tasted weird, pretty obviously recooked from an earlier order. I tried to ignore it and just keep trying to eat them, but I couldn't. the meat was not chewable and the skin looked like they had been previously cooked in a wet sauce earlier that had been covered with the powder seasoning. I brought it to the servers attention, who of course was just as pissed as she had been earlier. after some back and forth, I got her to take the wings back to the kitchen. the manager came to the table a few minutes later, also looking unhappy, to tell me the new order would take 18 minutes. seemingly waiting for me to change my mind about. the wings were entirely different and better this time.
if they had a better manager I think they...
